Can You Cook..?
« on: September 12, 2012, 09:22:40 PM »
Just as the thread title asks...can you..?

Just wondering how many of you can cook and of those that can't, what would you do if something (god forbid) happened to your wife/girlfriend/Mum..?

I can't understand anyone not being able to cook these days tbh :-\

I'm just heating up some Spanish Chicken but I didn't make the sauce myself, I've got lazy these last 10 years or so and just buy the stuff in jars. I used to make everything from scratch years ago though - Bolognese, Lasagne, Chili Con Carne, Curry, Shepherds Pie, Cottage Pie, Stews and Casseroles...the list goes on and on.

So can you cook..? And if not, why not..? :o

Can't cook.  That's a woman's job.

If owt happened to the missus I'd get another.

I can cook, pretty darned good too. Beans on toast, beans without toast, rice crispies (waddya mean pouring cereals into a bow and adding milk isn't cooking), and those newfangled microwave things, press a button and wait for it to go ding ...

... nah, actually really can. Just don't very often these days.

I make a mean scrambled eggs on toast!

Had to learn to cook the basics while I was away at uni. Won't find me making a soufflé anytime soon though.

Didn't you already know the basics though..?

I'm really surprised by the amount of people that leave school unable to even do the basics these days. :-\

I can do the basics and I do cook on special occasions. I made a nice red thai prawn curry for my girlfriends birthday but she's the whizz in the kitchen so I usually leave it to her.

I put some cheese and crackers on a plate tonight. Check me out. I'm like Jamie Oliver but without the spitting and cockney twattishness.
