Phew! Dodged a bullet last night. Never expected to win a goalie and a midfielder on the same night and typically the goalkeeper was swapped for the midfield player I signed, very lucky to win that……

  It's goodbye from me for the rest of this season. Not for the first time in this conference my oponent plays 90 mins Psycho and gives me three long term injuries. :- A broken cheek bone 8 week(s)/A sprained wrist 4 week(s)/A broken collar bone 8 week(s). I already have one player out with A broken leg 10 week(s).

The Conference 8 Cup has finished. A little recap -

Quarter-Finals

Fools United 0-1 FC Town Of Luton
After an incredibley tight 90 minutes finished 0-0 FC Town Of Luton managed to grab the all important extra time winner to move on to the next round!

Realale Madrid 2-0 Meltdown Sludge
One of the pre-tournament favourites eased into the semis with a lovely 2-0 win with 2 2nd half goals proving too much for Meltdown Sludge.

St Engleburt Eagles 0-1 King Kennys Army
A blockbuster quarter final between the reigning league champs and the champs in waiting. And it proved to be a tight affair with a 111th minute winner for King Kennys to progress.

Dogs Bollox 1-2 Sandford St Martin
After a 1-1 90 minute stalemate Sandfors St Martin managed to get the all important golden goal in the 111th minute, David Beckham proving he's still got it!


Semi-Finals

Realale Madrid 2-0 Sandford St Martin
Another comfortable win for Realale Madrid with a 2-0 scoreline. The only to win by more the 1 in the entire tournament. Really showing form going into the final.

King Kennys Army 1-0 FC Town Of Luton
Last year's 1 and 2 fought out a very tight battle and King Kennys Army came out on top (my 1st win over Martin) to progress to the final to play Realale!


Final

Realale Madrid 1-2 King Kennys Army
Another very tight match with King Kennys taking the lead before being pegged back in normal time. Then on to the dreaded extra time where King Kennys managed another magical golden goal to add the all important Conference 8 Cup to his league title.

  Once again I have to play a team who plays psycho for 90 mins. It seems like I am just recovering from the last injuries when I get similarly psycode once again. There are too many psycho maniacs in this conference. When i first joined this conference there was some "gentlemans agreement" that psycho was not played in the night games. Very disappointed how this conference is turning out.

We were playing in the Elite Cup, not the league that night.

Englebert needed to get over the line, not worry about possibly losing to me tonight and blowing it. I get it, he wanted to win, the injuries probably enabled him to win, you do whatever is required.

Please don’t leave the division again.
