That's a bit harsh. The French suffered many casualties during the wars.
OK, 97% of them could have been avoided if they had put sunblock on their armpits, so when they put their hands up, or raised a white flag, they would not have suffered from mild sunburn.
The French "resistance" says it all. A small group of people trying to distinguish themselves apart from the average cheese eating surrender monkey. The fact that they had a "resistance" organisation clearly means that the default position of the French was as a collaborator.
It's a good job the allies rescued them though, because without the French we would not have had........er.......OK so the French have never actually given anything to the world.

Well a gooner started the thread, pretty much the same thing isn't it?

Bah! Moved to avoid upsetting the Frogs, I suspect >:( :P

yeah, well done CG. Now this makes no sense at all.
Why we would bother about upsetting the loathesome country who felt it was appropriate to demolish the Pegasus Bridge a few weeks before the 50th anniversary of the allies bailing them out of their collaboration duties, many of whom died trying to capture this and other bridges in the region - I don't know. :nonono:

Ummm... Which country has the most historical victories, and which country gave us most of the military terms we have today? America? Afghanistan? No.
It's Wales.
-
That sounds unlikely
-
Sorry. I meant Yorkshire.
-
Much more plausible

Defeating helpless sheep and beating in theuir back doors doesn't count.

My answer to your first post still stands.

It's ok, it was just as hilarious the second time around.
