During my time running The Friendly League I would find myself on the game with around 2 weeks of inactivity with just normal friendlies and league games filling the gap between the FL seasons. Most of the other competitions (TCL, TEL, Server Cup) follow the same pattern.
Let me introduce you to Total Fusion Football League (TFFL), a competition that will run from Day 40 and ending on Day 8. I propose 3 eight team leagues with a 2 up 2 down system of 24 of Sundayleagues Finest. If there is more than 24 teams then great.
Hopefully there will be interest in the competition. I propose using Decas end of season rankings of the last 3 seasons to formulate the initial league structure.

Great to see 15 teams already confirmed for the inaugural edition of TFFL. I'm looking for 24 teams so just 9 more places available. I will send out some invites tonite so hopefully this can be set up from tomorrow evening ready for the start date of Day 40. If you are interested please put your team name in if you use the forums, if you do not have an account send me a private message before tomorrow evening.
I will also be running a Cup competition which will be free to enter.
If you are familiar with my World Cup editions which were popular I'm looking to follow the same format on the forum which was very interactive, so if you got time on your side at the moment hopefully you will enjoy the TFFL.

So 5 leagues of 8 teams. Absolutely amazed by the response to this. I was thinking 24 teams max so to get 40 absolutely chuffed to bits.
There is a cup competition that has 32 spaces. This competition is FREE TO ENTER. Obviously 8 teams will miss out which is a shame.
I will send passwords from 8pm tonite for both league and Cup.

So.....
The time is here, 40 of the very best fused together for the greater good. Who will be victorious, who will say 'what might have been', who will be an also ran and who will succumb to the pressure of The Total Fusion Football League.
What we do know is that it will all be decided over the next two weeks. Theres nothing in our way, there are no distractions. Could it be my time I hear you say. From the heights of TFFL1 to the journey from TFFL5 we all have a mission, we all have our targets. Some of us will celebrate, some of us will cry but in the end we will all know that we will have give it our best.
Sundayleague has been in our DNA for years, we all remember the first day in the job, that first win, that first promotion, the first title, those goody bags in the mail.
Now we embark on a new journey, do we realise our dreams here, there can be no excuses, did Terence Trendy play it soft, did Brian Blinker not see, these may happen but you know what, we will only find out if we are involved.
In closing your honor, 40 brave souls have made the decision, there is no turning back now, forever we are FUSED together in this SundayLeague journey. Some of us will win, some of us will lose but you know what Guv I wouldn't have it any other way.

FanClub Eye Promotion
It hasn't escaped many people but DidierDrogbaFanClub have seen results improve markably over the last two weeks. After safety was confirmed in Conference 2 last nite with Mason Mount grabbing a late winner, the new TFFL couldn't have started any better for the Sundayleague veteran. There were scenes inside and outside of Stadio El Drogio today after The FanClub perfect start to the campaign continued thanks again to the main man Mason Mount who is thriving in his new role. Its clear The FanClub have their eye on promotion and there's many who now our realising that The FanClub are going to be hard to dethrone from their loftly perch. For now DidierDrogbaFanClub are thriving, will it continue, well there's only one thing to do. WATCH THIS SPACE

FanClub Dreams Put On Hold
Normally on the 10th day of a new competition, you look back at what could have been, if only I had counter attack in the 62minute I would have had a chance at promotion. This is not the story for Didier Drogba FanClub, after 9 games we had won all 9, there was a spring in our step, the flowers were blooming outside Stadio El Drogio, shirt sales were up and confidence was high throughout the camp. I kept saying wake me up this must be a dream, surely TFFL isnt this easy....and so it proves it's not.
Day 10 we set off to SEGway Park to meet the old foes The Seg, promotion to TFFL3 almost guaranteed with a win. The bubble is burst The Seg beat is 1-0 and with a visit to The KC Shuffle on the horizon we must pick ourselves up to win that illusive trophy that has been missing for over a year.
Sure defeat is hard to take, theres been choice words, tears and several shakes of the head but we wont be downbeat for long, for we are Didier Drogba Fan Club, we are winners, we believe in ourselves and we believe that TFFL3 is so close, I can almost touch it.
To win a league title in The Total Fusion Football League in its inaugural season is beyond our wildest dreams, can we do it, sure we can, will we do it, well I guess we will find out over the next 4 days.

You are almost there Steve. My lot are one point away from winning TFFL3 and promotion to TFFL2.

Nice write-up Steve, sorry to burst the DDFC bubble. I think promotion is already assured though, shame my lot couldn't get their act together at the beginning of the season.

Total Fusion Football League - It Happened And I Loved It
It was just two short weeks ago 40 brave souls set out on the inaugural season of TFFL and just like 14 days later we move on to more familiar battles. We all wanted the glory and you know what we all go it. The teams, the managers will go down in history.
What I look back on is the excitement the TFFL bought to the community, the fact that 40 people said you know what that looks like a competition I want to be involved in. There were twists and turns, there were unbeaten runs bought to a crashing holt and there were fresh challenges that got the very best out of us all.
Now we embark on a time of reflection, but dont worry Season 2 is just 5 weeks away. I will see you all in more familiar competitions before this time but from me, it's a big Thank You for making the TFFL experience a great one.
