I keep getting a "The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later. " when attempting to log in. Is anyone else having the same trouble?

I have not set up either for the first division game of the season.
I'm sure Junior will wound the game back as this is clearly not fair for users who have not been able to log in to set up.

I don't log in every day but just tried to and still getting Resource Limit page. Have also been getting it on SL2 for the first time in ages over the last few weeks. Although it normally goes if i refresh the page. Hopefully this isn't something that will continue.

Winds me up this, such a good game but is riddled with bugs. I'm trying to come back and change my team to challenge in 1-1-1 next season but can't even put my team on rehab for tonight.
I remember when people offered there expertise to build promote SL1 back up fell on deaf ears

I did briefly get in as stated above but checked again before bed and was showing resource limit again. This is certainly a game like no other isn't it - tech support reliant on one person reading a whatsapp message.

I briefly got in this morning, no games have been played. It's still day 2 before the day games. I now can't get back in again.

This is just not good enough,
We are customers paying for a service that is not being delivered.
Not even an email to explain the situation from Junior.
Obviously if games have gone ahead there should be a re-start,
If this continues I won't be spending any more money on the game,

I really hoped after stopping playing the game a few years back, this may have been given the support it needs.
I know of the help and offers people have made to take the game forward has fallen on deaf ears. Same with SL2 a great concept and evolution of SL1 but needs work and maintenance.
Junior turning down free help from Devs to help with the coding of the game is ridiculous and the communication is dreadful.

Couldn't agree more.
If Junior decides to go on holiday or god forbid he falls ill, any problems would see the game grind to a halt.
Was a shame that Kush couldn't take the game forward.

Just to give you guys a quick update from Junior.
He paused the game yesterday night and the server people are currently looking at it now.
The game will end up being wound back so don't worry guys in regards to the first game of the season if you didn't set up.
Just no timeframe of when this issue will be fixed. Will let you know once I get updated from Junior.

Yep, you only have to remember how dreadful it was losing Terry. He would always communicate pretty well.
I just don't understand why you wouldn't put a bit of time into it. I know he just keeps the game ticking over and collects the money each month, I'm not saying he's not a busy man. But if he don't care about it he should have sold it or ended it. As Deca said we are paying for a service which is broken.
We all know what an addictive game this is and it's sad it's not shown the attention it deserves. For the veterans on here I have huge respect for standing by the game so long.
Be nice if Junior could give some honest feedback on the future of the game or just more communication. But again this lack of both has been like this for years, and we all know nothing will change.

Games are not playing until at least tomorrow, once there is a solution.

He did not go into any details no but it is something to do with the servers.

Servers are back to normal now and you can now sign in again.
There was a database issue that was slowing the servers down but it has all been fixed now.
Tonight's division game will NOT BE PLAYED. Play will be resumed the next day to make everything fair on all teams.
First match to be played will be Private League games at 22/03/2022 3pm GMT

Just to give everyone a heads up, I'm sure I've mentioned this already previously but I'll say it again;
What Antony said happens on a daily basis between 00:40-01:15ish GMT so you are not able to log in specifically between those times.
Don't ask me why as I don't know but it's been like this for years.

On this anyone feel like they have spent way to much on friendlies this season due to the bugs I'm on like 10k trying to organise these games and no refund

there has always been a bug that if you click to accept all challenges, it charges you for ones that you accepted yesterday but which have not yet been arranged.
For this reason, I always accept challenges one by one, takes ages to do though :-(

Sensible. I always accept one Friendly one at a time. As years ago the bug effected accept all. Of course it should be sorted rather than an ongoing problem. ;) 8)

It's not insignificant, you could log in on day 1 and have 20 friendly requests and accept them all,
then an hour later, you get 2 more, if you click accept all, you then get charged for 22!!!!!

Any users who have lost out on credits due to the friendly bug, please pm in game stating how much you approximately lost.
I will forward this on to Junior and he should reimburse.
A user had the same issue a while back and when I notified Junior, he reimbursed plus gave a little top up.
I will also ask Junior to look into this bug as it's a pretty big one in my opinion and I'm sure many users have lost out without realising.
Hopefully he will do something about it ...

I've noticed since the pause, I can't set default advanced tactics anymore. Dunno if this is the same for you guys.

Mine is still there same as previous but I hardly use default tactics unless I'm in a super rush and no time to set up individually for PL games.
I have sent a message to Junior explaining the friendly bug and how it is making users lose out on credits.
Thanks to all who have sent me a message with how much you have lost out.
Told Junior that I am sending him a list tomorrow so please contact me before then if you need me add you to the list :)

What you need to do is hover the curser over Manage Team then click on Advanced Tactics. If you can see a referee and the weather your on the wrong page. Start again. If no ref and weather set your default tactics on this page. Save. Go to your next couple of games that you have not set up. Your default should now be your advanced tactics for each game. Change them for most games. ;) 8)

Message has been sent to Junior in regards to users losing credits due to the friendly bug.
Thanks to the 5 users who got in contact and I have forwarded this on to Junior.
I've asked him to let me know when he has reimbursed and once I get any updates (hopefully), I will let everyone know :)

Yeah this worked for me, set up for a game and used the set as default button! But it didn't work, and when tried in just on my own team management it worked!

Is anyone else having trouble today. I have managed to set up only two teams and for the past half hour have been getting the message "This site can’t be reachedsundayleague.com took too long to respond." All my other programs are showing no problems at all.

I am having no problems logging in and all is good.
Unfortunately, I have not yet received a reply from Junior in regards to users getting reimbursed for credits due to the bug, he might still be suffering from COVID.
No hope is lost though, I will keep on reminding him and he will eventually respond and do it :)
To the users who are owed credits, do keep tabs on the amount of credits you have just incase.

I am not sure of this Brian, I have never encountered this.
Have you tried logging in with a different device or web browser?

I have a suggestion. I think the Firewall may have taken an exception to you logging in. So it blocks your log in attempts and it times out. This happened to me. I messaged Junior and after investigating it was he who told me that the Games Firewall was blocking me. He sorted it. Please contact Junior. :o ;) 8)

I thought that I had good news this morning when I was connected both to facebook and Sunday League. However, after I managed to setup all my teams today I was blocked again with a different message which I have copied and sent to Junior because I did see a message that his firewall was blocking me. So here's hoping that Junior can fix it.

Actually I did. Went to Morocco for work (don’t ask but I don’t have to dress up 😃😃) and got here 1 hr in front for the first 3days. Got absolutely battered on Saturday night and woke up in what I think was the morning, apparently I am now informed I am 1 hr behind the UK as they have moved the clocks for Ramadan. Effectively a 2 or even 3 hour swing. Anyway that’s life on the road. 👍🏻👍🏻

Sorry to bump this but still heard absolutely nothing from junior in regards to the credit refunds on friendlies. My team needs improving and to be fair he will end up probably getting it back but I want proper compensation for this covid or not, not even acknowledgement in 10 days is shit.
One thing I've learnt from covid is be kind to people but also know your worth there's managers out there that have spent years on this game and deserve at least a reply...its actually basically a form of stealing from your best customers. Unbelievable business model. And we shouldn't have to bring these out of issues up in a forum thread because what should be happening is banter between the managers

I understand your frustration but it is what it is. We just have to accept that although Junior has his faults he is still keeping the game afloat for us to enjoy.
The only way you could ever see changes is if all the SL users migrated to a new game.

Last I heard from Junior was last Thursday and he apologies for getting back late to me.
He said he just recovered from covid and also just had a recent tooth extraction and said he would look into it by tomorrow (Friday). Will message him again now to see whats up.

Seriously thinking of flagging this game after almost 20 years of playing. More than once i have been unable to log in, in the time frame i have . What with the time difference and work, i only have a couple or three hours to set-up. It is definitely worse now than it as been. I used to enjoy it, but the old magic is waning. I will be sorry to go, but if i can't be arsed it means i'm not enjoying it anymore.

I logged in yesterday and noticed games hadn't been played from the previous 3am on Saturday so I logged out. I have logged in today and noticed 3pm and 3am games have been played for sunday but couldnt set up for them when I logged in yesterday?
Is this a bug or have I missed something?

Credits have been reimbursed to users who lost out to the friendly bug. Junior also gave 50% extra on top as compensation.
