He ain't going to be all that furious. If they'd played today he'd have fielded his best eleven, in hopes of snatching 4th place.

Now he knows he just needs a draw for his best (realistic) possible finish he can rest a lot of his first team.

I did, but the host site died and I can't be arsed to find an alternative right now...

Yeah exactly what I was thinking Late.. it actually works out better for United knowing that they can't get 4th place

Van Gaal wants fifth place to prevent our season starting too early.

Old Trafford is half empty :o :-[

Lee Dixon is a fantastic co-commentator. It's an absolute travesty that he hasn't been snatched up by the UK stations. He pisses all over Keown.

3-1, own goal from Smalling and that's the Golden Glove gone for De Gea.

3-1 final score.

Chelski are getting a bit desperate, don't you think..? They should have started on promoting their younger defenders to the senior side years ago. Or bought some in. :-\

Just look at United's defensive record since Van Gaal got rid of the old fogies. Last season in particular was VERY impressive considering the injuries we had at the back.

I'm hoping that were going to keep Van Gaal in the job. He's sorted out our problems at the back, next up is upping our scoring rate. The best sides in the world have been built from the back.

Yes.. selling all those players has brought so much success to United.. oh that's right.. you've won fuck all for the past 3 seasons!  ;D ;D
Fat Head managed a measly 66 points this season.. 2 more points than the Moyes season... except Fat Head has spent £250m on new players since then...I think that tells its own story.  I hope you keep him on too.. it would be so funny.. plus I'd be able to wind you up all of next season - missing out on top 4 again would be nailed on!

Anyway...
Zouma - 21, Dave - 26, Rahman - 21, Miazga - 20, Courtois - 24.
We have plenty of youth talent breaking through at the club - so don't you worry about us harv.  Why would we get rid of our club captain and probably still the best CB in the premier league?  Even just playing half a season will make a massive difference.  I hope we give him a final year next year too.

We haven't won anything in 3 seasons but we're MUCH better defensively. United are in a transition period. The last transition period we had was under Fergie and that lasted 3 seasons and we still won 2 trophies during that time. Van Gaal has been VERY unlucky with injuries these last two seasons and we're in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday.

The problem at United was primarily at the back with several players, just like Terry, passed their best and Van Gaal appears to have sorted that out. Next up is increasing our goals scored.

I don't think we'll spend that much money in the Summer because we don't really need to.

Funny that, usually when teams play defensively, they seem to concede less goals and score less goals... oh look...  ::)  If you are happy playing that way and ultimately achieving 66 points.. then good for you.. I certainly wouldn't be - most united fans I know IRL want United to lose the FA Cup so it guarantees Fat Heads exit.  Personally I don't think it matters, I believe Mourinho has already signed a pre-contract and Woodward wouldn't want the humility of paying him for nothing when this season has been nothing short of a disaster for you.

Well it looks like Rashford hasn't been put off by having Maureen at the helm, he's just signed a new 4 year deal with an additional 1 year option. ;D

Mind you, with the way that he's been playing not even Maureen could ignore him with regards to first team action 8)
