Video Games Thread
« on: April 15, 2017, 12:40:48 PM »
There is a dedicated section to this topic on this forum so feel free to go and check it out, but I thought I'd start one here as this SL general discussion section seems to be the only section anyone really uses on here these days.

So do we have any gamers here in the Sundayleague community? If so what platform(s) do you play on? What game(s) are you playing at the moment? Favourite game(s) of all time?

I've been a Playstation guy since the PS1 currently playing on PS4. It took me a while to get round to it, but I'm playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate at the moment and loving it. The later AC games get a lot of stick but I've loved all of them.

Feel free to add me on PSN if you're on Playstation @ stupac91  8)

Since getting my AWESOME Oculus Rift in October last year all consoles are dead to me. I'm now a member of the PC Master Race, consoles are for peasants :P ;D :P

The best thing about VR for me so far is that horror games and experiences are fucking INSANE!!!! :o

I tried this one last night:

and the Clown one freaked the ever living FUCK out of me lol ;D ;D ;D

Dreadhalls is probably the scariest of the lot so far I think, particularly since the developers added Touch control support which increases the game's presence. It doesn't look like much but the sound and music are so well put together and build up the feeling of dread until you start to go a little insane lol

The best VR game of all so far is Elite Dangerous. I've been dreaming about flying one of these ships since I played the original in the 80s and now I finally get to do it. The sense of scale in the game is bloody ridiculous when you see the inside of one of those Coriolis Space Stations for the first time. It's literally jaw dropping.

VR is so good, it's amazing. I can't see myself going anywhere near flat gaming again now I've had a taste of VR, particularly for any type of cockpit game. 8)

Just been playing Arizona Sunshine and have decided that when the zombie apocalypse happens I'm not going to bother shooting with my left hand due to my piss poor accuracy with my left hand when holding a shooter in each hand lol

I should be getting both of my factory sealed DK1s delivered tomorrow, one cost me £37 And the other cost me £36. Bargain!

The seller I got them from had 15 or so altogether I think and he/she is going to be kicking themselves in 50 years or so for selling them. Even in 25 years or so I'll probably be able to sell them to collectors for a good few hundred quid. In double that time you'll be looking at several thousand each. 8)

Got my DK1s earlier this afternoon. They both have the original factory boxes still sealed up with the original tape. Noice!!! 8)
