Well I'd say it's more VR Porn, simulators and horror games. Once you experience those three different things in VR going back to doing the same things flat is such a poor experience in comparison. ;D

But, again, this is something you have to actually experience rather than taking someone's word for it on an internet forum.

This generation is just the beginning, things will get MUCH better in 5-10 years. And you say that you're not interested in strapping a couple of displays to your face NOW, but once Microsoft get their VR arses in gear in 5-10 years time you'll end up looking like this with the rest of us:

Note to self - keep your eyes open when walking around.

I just got surprised by a couple of wolufs and nearly crapped myself lmfao :o :-[

Funnily enough, Microsoft have said in the last day that it won't have specific VR/AR/Mixed Reality support in the Xbox ecosystem because its a better fit on the PC.  Enjoy your decade old games though harv - if you refuse to play "flat games" - then you're missing out on more than I am.  I've experienced VR and it sucked, headaches, nausea and motion sickness - not what I want 5 minutes after booting up a game.

Plus VR is no doubt - bad for your eyes.. what did your mum always say.. sit too close to the tv and your eyes will go square... you already wear glasses harv (although that's probably down to Late's well spotted observation that you are a habitual wanker) - be interested to know when you next go to the optician how bad your eyes have got since last time ;)

Actually my eyesight has only had expected changes due to my age since I started gaming in VR. 8)

And Microsoft will certainly jump on the VR bandwagon during the next 5-10 years, but given how much they've fucked up gaming hardware with Kinect and HoloLens and relied on fake on stage demos their VR headset and controllers will probably be a bit pants :P
