So we've confirmed the signing of Lovren and the Remy deal is definitely off. Very happy that we're making an attempt to sort out our defence. Lovren looks a class act, I hope he can make the step up. Sad about Remy, I think he would have contributed 15-20 goals this season which would have gone some way to replacing the 30+ we've lost with Suarez's departure. We'll be hard pushed to find a better goalscorer for £8.5m.

In:

Lallana - £25m
Markovic - £19.8m
Can - £9.8m
Lambert - £4m
Lovren - £20m

Total in: £78.6m

Out:

Suarez - £75m

I'd estimate we've probably got about £40m-£50m left in the kitty, but some fans seem to think it's more than that. We may have got Suarez's 200k wages off the bill but I'd say the 5 players we've signed will have easily surpassed that cumulatively. Really could have done with the Borini money but he's adamant he wants to stay. Hopefully we can still sign a full back and a striker before the window is closed.

Should have spent some of that £75m on some non-slip boots for Gerrard :P ;D :P

That's 19-year old Belgium forward Divock Origi confirmed for us. £10m and a 5 five year contract, of which he'll spend the first year back at Lille. Very exciting player.

Vanja Milinkovic, a Serbian 17 year old keeper has just signed for United and will go on loan next season to the club we've bought him from for a year. A bit of a surprise, although they did originally announce it in May apparently...must have missed that lol

Bah! Looks like we've missed out on Vermin to Barcelona for £15m :(

Oh well, United will have to (hopefully!) make do with Blind and have Blackett and Michael Keane as backup. And if we get 6 central defenders injured/suspended we can always have Shaw, Rafael, Fletch and Carrick as emergency backup backups lol :o :P ;D ;D ;D

Well that's our fourth signing done. Marcos Rojo for £16m plus Nani on loan for 1 year. Should be a great signing, we should now have a defender that's not shy of getting stuck in and making hard tackles. He'll pick up a good few yellows and probably a red card or two over the season but he should scare a few forwards lol. ;D ;D ;D

Fortunately Costa and Drogba are not easily scared lol

Every forward is scared of getting crippled 8) :P

He's quite an 'old school' defender.

Fortunately we've got quite an 'old school' centre forward in Lambert.  :P

Sturridge on the other hand is made of glass, so if you could keep Rojo away from him I'd appreciate it.

Fortunately for defenders everywhere, Lambert is useless :P ;D

Manchester United will pay Nani's 4.8 million wages during his loan spell.

Yup, worth it though. Makes the deal £21m worth but if Nani finds his mojo back home then Sporting Lisbon will probably buy him for a decent price.

Di Maria has now said that he wants to leave Real Madras, should be hearing about an official bid from United soon...although I still think Cuadrado would be a better bet than Di Maria myself because imo he's better suited to playing as a wing-back.
