Hi Stato,

I'm still playing mate, but found the step up more of a challenge than expected after promotion. I'm gradually improving, but invested most of my money in the infrastructure & facilities, I dont mind if i get relegated, think I'll avoid this, very much enjoying the game and challenge though. Seem to be drawing alot of matches....... :D :D :D

Cheers

Nick (Mancunian Spurs) just a tip you don't have to do it but I'd sell Daniel Crabtree in the next transfer window he's costing you $5564 a day that's $289328 a season and soon he will be worth nothing

Deca glad your still enjoying it

^^^^ seconded. He should have been sold or dumped a long time ago. I only have 2 players that are paid more than $1000/pw and I will be selling them at the end of the season. To be honest, I'd be selling most of that team and buying young, cheap, low paid players that I could train up.

I also definitely recommend signing up for this game - and joining the Australian league is a good way to go. There's 5 SL players spread among Div 2 and 3. Brads is leading Div 2 at the moment, Stato and I are also in the top 4.

My current facility levels are:

Fanshop    2
Catering    1
Health center    2
Scout's office    2
Stadium    3
Training complex    5
Youth center    4

and I have only been playing it since September 1st - and have not bought a credit yet - so it is not that hard to progress quickly in the game

I know its against the rules but has anyone thought of getting a 2nd team I got one when I tried to get the decent Aussie team .

I moved them to England and got a team in league 2 and built them up to an advanced club when a better team became available in League 2 I took over that one but messed up as I didn't take 3 players with me. So when a League 1 Spanish team became available I took over that one and took them from the relegation zone to the top half of the league

Then I saw a message on the forum about a top manager getting rid of his League 1 Belgium side so I ask if I could have it  after a few messages he said I could so I'm now the manager of Napoleons Nightmare (I said I would keep the team name) and probably have the best squad of players in Belgium .

Now this is not a bragging post it's just let people know this game gets a lot harder if you think you have some tough decisions now wait till later I've just had to fire a 4 star defender. The team also has 10 players out on loan and I will probably be doing the same next season so keep an eye out if your looking at loaning players as there will be a few Million Euro players on the list

I wouldn't mind having another team. Have you read into it and established that you are not likely to get banned? It suggests that you can get banned if you have "multiple accounts" but maybe this is just something that they say to stop people taking the p*ss and using loads of accounts to create a bidding war for a crap player to transfer money over to your main team.

I'm guessing as long as you don't interact with the other club or are in the same country they won't even look into it and don't use it to get referrals . Only thing you can't do is buy tickets for the same match as it comes up you can't buy from the same IP address

I agree with that Brads, it definitely gets tougher, but its a challenge I'm really enjoying,

To be honest, when I get home from work, the game I want to log onto most is Rocking Soccer as opposed to SL1.

I was content to start at the bottom and take a poor team up the divisions, I've got one promotion from division 6 to 5, but looks like I'll have to avoid relegation this season and strengthen my squad.

I know you can take short cuts, but I've no intention of resigning and getting a bigger club. I feel like the Wimbledon of old if anyone can remember, from the old division 4 to Division 1 in straight seasons, although it may take me longer. I've invested so I'll stay with this club.

What's enjoyable are the decisions you can make about how to earn and where to invest finances, infrastructure or players. The tactics are pretty good too, I spend quite a while tinkering with formations but then run out of reports. Its kind of good also facing different challenges, like avoiding relegation, juggling resources, training methods, and the spreadsheet bits for us staticians.

I'll be on the lookout for your loan players brads  ;D ;D ;D

I'ts a pity you can't cancel someones loan though in Rocking Soccer, would also be nice to edit the player names, but the game is growing and enhancements are being added all the time

Whoever (I can't remember now) recommended this game deserves a pat on the back, I think it's brilliant for footy fans like us

i'd recommend anyone to join and try

Cheers

I'm addicted to it, which is annoying as I don't have enough spare time lol. The game is quite mobile friendly too, I've been logging on regulalry at work.

A lot of features are very good and you really can play for free and still develop new players, though it's quicker if you buy VIP vouchers.

A shame we're not all in the same division but I don;t really want to move my team at the moment. Hopefully they will eventually implement a facility to create a proper friendly league, even if it's just our under 21 teams (for those who have not played it, you can even have an under 21 team!).
Choosing which political party to vote for is like trying to decide if you'd rather have syphilis, gonorrhea or herpes.
