Nick (Mancunian Spurs) just a tip you don't have to do it but I'd sell Daniel Crabtree in the next transfer window he's costing you $5564 a day that's $289328 a season and soon he will be worth nothing

Stato

Deca glad your still enjoying it

Hi Stato

Yes you're right and I know. I'm now losing money every play day when I'm trying to save to upgrade my stadium again so he's already in the pipeline for the next transfer window. A couple of others also.

Incidently guys, I'm sending U21 friendly challenges and ordinary friendly challenges and only very occasionally is one accepted. I appreciate sometimes we have enough games on a particular day but to save me having to keep doing this and hoping for the best, can you let me know whether or not you are happy to play one or the other (or both) then send me a challenge or let me know and I can do it. For example I'd like to play a friendly AND an U21 friendly today as I have no other matches today now. Also an ordinary friendly on Tuesday. Not bothered what time on Tuesday but I have a league match at 08.23 (uk time) so as long as it's not going to clash with that. I'll check back later. :)

^^^^ seconded. He should have been sold or dumped a long time ago. I only have 2 players that are paid more than $1000/pw and I will be selling them at the end of the season. To be honest, I'd be selling most of that team and buying young, cheap, low paid players that I could train up.

I also definitely recommend signing up for this game - and joining the Australian league is a good way to go. There's 5 SL players spread among Div 2 and 3. Brads is leading Div 2 at the moment, Stato and I are also in the top 4.

(snip)

and I have only been playing it since September 1st - and have not bought a credit yet - so it is not that hard to progress quickly in the game

Well I'm not selling off all my players but I do have a few who will be going at the end of the season and if they don't sell, I'll fire their @ss!! :D

I'm happy to invest in this club and so far, touch wood, things seem to be ok although I have a feeling not going to do as well once/if I move higher up as I still haven't got into the advanced tactics, formations and so on. As I've said before I think, it's tricky knowing what formation(s) to play when you can't tell what formation your OPPONENT is playing or likely to play. I don't even bother using analysis now. So many times it's wrong so can't see the point, although it's possible it works better/more accurately when you are higher in divisions?

I have to admit I *have* bought VIP and credits and used credits to buy cash, although not for a while. The best thing I ever did was buy an excellent goalkeeper from a particular person in here and now I've gone up from  6th or 7th in my division (3.2) to 2nd. Yes still a way to go to the end of the season but I'm pretty chuffed so far. :P Still gutted that the best striker I've had since I started is only on loan and has to go back at the end of this season. I'd buy him for sure if I was given the option but I doubt very much I will be. Oh well.

I always accept Friendlys but sometimes it says it clashes with another game within one hour I think it would be better if you could pick the exact time you want to play them it would be easier

I'm the same with my on loan Striker Dallas he's scored 34 goals for me in the league in 27 matches

Glad that the keeper is working out well for you. It was sad to see him go, but I was more concerned in building for the future than maintaining a good team.

I am now in a position where I will be considering strengthening my team in the close season. I dont have much spare cash at the moment, but I have a full squad and will be trying to sell off 10-15 players (though not being a VIP, it'll have to be 2 at a time). This time, though, I will be trying to get rid mainly of the players that have come through my youth centre or the ones that have just got too old to play U21 games, but I do not see a future for in my squad. I'll be keeping my better players.

Hopefully Nick will be up there in Div 2, and maybe Stato will have moved up a level.

For the record, I will generally always accept a friendly match offer if I see it, but I leave myself logged in with Autorefresh running, so whilst it might look like I am online, I may not be.

I totally agree Stato - I've had that clashes within an hour thing a couple of times myself  so being able to choose what time you want to play them would be good, although of course that still wouldn't necessarily mean it wouldn't clash with whoever you're trying to challenge. :)

Oh well what is it they say? ... Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm building my U21 players which is why I'm keen to play my full quota of U21 games before this season finishes (hopefully) so happy to accept ALL challenges providing I don't already have that particular game type set up  for that particular day already. :)

I totally understand why you sold him and for you it made good sense. I'm also glad you sold him because despite having less stars than the one I had before, he still seems to play a lot better for some reason. Not that I'm complaining. :P

On the one hand I'm hoping to be in the play-offs for Div 2 but at the same time I'm really not sure how well I'll do in higher divisions. As I've said openly and honestly, I still don't really understand playing the best formation - yes I can play to the strengths of my OWN team but no idea what formation my opponent is using, even with analysis it doesn't tell you that. :(   I'm starting to experiment in U21 games and friendlies with things like offensive corners and so on but hard to know which ones it's better to play using the other options rather than normal or default. Oh well the fun of learning a new game I guess. :P

If anyone's looking for friendly games over the next however many days when we don't have other matches/games to play, I'm happy to accept. Easier this way than me sending challenges out as I still find it hard to find opponents to accept. Please remember if the time is within an hour of a fixture you already have, it won't allow me to accept.

Currently pig sick - missed out on playoffs (AGAIN to a damn bot team! :( ) by one blasted point. 3rd isn't too bad I guess for only my 2nd season in the game (2 or 3 months I think) but still gutted not to finish in 2nd. :(

Oh well. Just a thought.

Hi all

I've decided "fashionably late" to have a go at this; was doing Dugout but might abandon that as it's in real time and nothing happens  :( I've challenged most of you lot to a friendly so accept if you can!  I'll try to buy tickets to all games I can find :)

Yeah why not - cheers Stato!  :) I've re-issued my friendly challenges; not sure who responded (was it you?) so have challenged everyone who currently has a team.

Those lot look quite good actually - just need another decent CB.

There's a decent Advanced club in League 2 Australia (soon to be relegated) but they've good facilities and players just need a decent keeper and your sorted

Stato

Not a bad option for anyone who has built up an advanced team elsewhere.

I'm really enjoying Rocking Soccer, damn just missed out on promotion,  :'( :'( :'(

Have invested £500,000 in upgrading the stadium to 4000 capacity, my recogning is that I'll get more income that way for future transfers,

I've experimented with different formations, I got promoted using 4-5-1, but the higher leagues seem to favour 3-5-2, or 4-4-2

Be interested in hearing any other fellow Rocking soccer managers thoughts on formations and tactics, I usually find the selecting short passing gives more possession  :) :)

Now need £300,000 to update my training complex  :) :) :)

Cheers
