Well GTA 5 is a must for any gamer of course.

If you haven't played the Uncharted games then definitely get Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection. And Uncharted 4 in March.  :D

I played all 3 Uncharted games about 3 times each on PS3 and I still can't wait to get the collection on PS4 and play them all again.  :)

Aw ffs, my internet has gone down again. It's been spotty for the last week while they've been trying to fix an email problem (that I personally haven't been experiencing) but now it's gone completely.

Which of course means I can't play Elite: Dangerous :o >:(

Hope it's going to be sorted by the time I go to bed otherwise I won't be able to watch Netflix until my medication kicks in and sends me to sleep. >:(

It's back now ;D

Have had my pilot rank promotion from Novice to Competent. First time I've been competent at anything in my life lmfao :o :P ;D

Am scanning planets at the moment. Assuming that I don't get killed before I travel 20+ light years I can sell it to space stations via the Universal Cartography people. Once I do that the planets will come up as 'Discovered By Commander Arv' when people scan them which is pretty cool 8)

Shit. I've been thinking about my motherboard. No activity on the tracking system since 14th, the day after the Paris atrocities. Hope they haven't decided to X-Ray everything otherwise my motherboard is going to be about as useful as a chocolate teapot :o

I got Gears of War Ultimate Edition the other day, haven't fired it up yet, still too engrossed with Fallout 4  ;D

Found an Explosive Powerful 10mm Pistol and its my new favourite gun.. it causes explosive area effect on contact... so my new tactic is to shoot for the legs and get them to explode.. it works great on the Feral Ghouls..  But I've also got a bad ass magnum which works great against pretty much everything.

One of the quests I did last night saw me travelling across the Glowing Sea which is a heavily radiated part of the wasteland.. I got attacked by a Legendary Alpha Deathclaw.. basically a big bad motherfucker that you would stand little chance of killing on your own, luckily I was in my power armour so it didn't kill me straight away... I started to run away but looked back and saw it getting attacked by 3 Radscorpions and a Legendary Radscorpion.. I just stood on a rock for a while and watched them fight.. occasionally chucking a grenade into the action just for fun... they did a great job in reducing its health.. but half way through the fight, another Deathclaw came along and kicked the shit out of the remaining Radscorpions  ;D ;D.. I actually managed to take down the Alpha Deathclaw eventually.. pretty much spent all my fookin ammo on it though, luckily the other Deathclaw ran away lol.

Bah! It turns out that the courier company have lost my motherboard. Fuckwits. Just emailed the support staff and told them that I want them to send me another one with next day delivery. A right pain in the arse. :'(

Should be getting it tomorrow! ;D

The Game Creators developers have just done a MAJOR performance update to GameGuru, it's almost tripled the framerate on my machine :o

Hopefully this means they're going to re-enable the VR flag. Should be VERY easy for a PC having the recommended specs for Oculus Rift to run a GameGuru-driven game at 90fps now.

Woo hoo!!! Just made 243,300-odd credits from my exploration data.

I now have 4.2m in credits and 7.8m worth of assets (including the cash of course!).

Once I get another couple of million I'm going to pimp up my Cobra Mark III a bit more. Need a top of the range power supply and a better power distributor and another few million and I'll upgrade my lasers too. 8)

Elite Dangerous is definitely number one in my Best Games Of All Time list, and I can't see ANYTHING knocking it off number one (although I did say the same thing about the original Elite which is now at number two!). Every bit as addictive as the original game.

Going to be interesting to see how the iGPU in my 6700K handles games when I build my game tomorrow. Should outperform my 2GB 4870 I think, just about. ;D That 4870 is still a bit of a beast tbh, probably the best GPU that AMD have released so far for its time. My Q9550, 8GB of DDR3 and 2GB 4870 really punches above its weight. Can do Skyrim on Ultra at around 30fps if I'm remembering correctly. :o

The best thing about building a PC is that feeling of potential impending doom before you turn on your new build and the immense relief you get when you do turn it on the thing POSTs successfully lol  ;D

Not too sure what's going on with the BIOS though because it's only taking up the top half of my telly screen lmfao. Might have to read the manual lol :o ;D ;D ;D

Managed to sort out my half screen problem. It's still half screen sized when it starts up but by the time Windows 10 starts it changes the screen and resolution to its proper size. Very strange problem though. I don't think the [Auto] option for the GPU selection was working properly. Changed it to IGP and it started working properly.

Have now done a gentle overclock, only from 4.0 to 4.5 because I'm going to do my usual and have this PC on for 24/7.

Only problem I have with the machine so far is that one of the fans isn't working, there's a loose wire on it. Could probably fix it myself but it's less hassle to just spend a couple of quid and get another one. ;D

Running nice so far, can now run Elite Dangerous on High settings at 60fps compared to Medium on my old machine. Haven't tried Skyrim yet but I should be able to run it on Ultra I reckon. 8)

Bah! Turns out that Skyrim has some sort of problem with Intel iGPUs. The auto settings thingummybob brought everything down to Low quality and it crashes every time I try and start it lol. Probably a fix for it but Elite Dangerous is taking up all of my gaming time at the moment and probably for quite some time.

The Beta for Elite Dangerous Horizons has been out for a day and everyone is nerd wanking all over the place lol. For good reason too. Over 60% of the planets and moons in 400 billion star systems can be landed on and explored. There are plenty of systems with 20+ planets in them too. Even if there were only an average of 10 planets and moons in each system (and I'm certain that's a VERY low estimation), that would make it possible to land on and explore 6 x 4000 billion planetary surfaces, that's, what..? 24,000 billion..? :o

I'm mathematically dyslexic so have probably messed up somewhere. But it's a ridiculous SHITLOAD anyway lol :o ;D ;D ;D

The sooner May comes along the better 8)
