The phrase PC master race is perhaps one of, if the the cringiest thing I've ever heard lol. Can't read a gaming comments section anywhere without someone telling everyone they're a PC gamer as it's been almost 3 minutes since they told everyone they're a PC gamer.

Yeah, well, you would say that being a console peasant and all :P

(Just in case you were all thinking I'm being serious about this I am joking lol)

 ;D ;D ;D :P

I used to be attracted to the console exclusives but now I'm refusing to pay a tax every month/3 months/year to play online. That's why I haven't bought a PS4 or Xbox One this generation. And now that Nintendo are in the annual tax business they can fuck right off too lol :o

The PC is the best platform for VR at the moment and has the advantage of VR porn, decent tracking, VR porn, higher resolution, VR porn, allowing me to develop my own game and VR porn. ;D

Did I mention VR porn..? 8) ;D ;D ;D

I've now sold my Adder and bought myself a Cobra Mk IV. The interior of the ship is the best looking I've seen so far. Got myself a mining laser, prospector limpets, collection limpets and a refinery and will start mining once the football finishes.

No idea what I'm doing, I'm guessing all I have to do is fire the prospectors at an asteroid to find out if there's anything worth mining for, burn into it with my mining laser and then use the collection limpets to pick up the fragments and then slap them into the refinery.

I've got cargo space for 24 tonnes of whatever I find so should be a good earner. I need some credits at the moment because my Cobra isn't too well kitted out at the moment and I'm down to my last 480,000 credits or so.

...now I'm refusing to pay tax...

He's blissfully unaware of the irony.

Probably because he's ripping his bellend off watching porn being projected directly into his retinas.

Didn't get around to any mining, saw a LOAD of haulage jobs to the same place so took them all on. And it was shit. AKA Biowaste lol :o ;D

It's not glamourous being a Space Trucker sometimes lmfao ;D ;D ;D :-[ :-[ :-[

It's not a realistic game though, if it was I would have ended up with more than I started with once I reached the space station :P

Used the credits from that to get me a couple of great big fuck off guns. Mining is dangerous business 8)

Looks like Frontier have done some more work on the space stations, the one I'm docked in at the moment has a load of trees and water features in it. Looks pretty ;D

Elite Dangerous is the best VR game out there BY FAR. The only two things that would beat it would be Alien Isolation and Half Life 2, both of which WERE VR compatible natively until Runtime updates made them incompatible. Mind you, Sega have hinted that they're going to have Alien Isolation in VR again so Elite Dangerous may have some opposition is the Awesome VR stakes. 8)

And of course Valve will do FUCK ALL as per fucking usual. Too busy swimming in their Scrooge McDuck style pool of wonga. >:(

Haven't been able to find any bloody Limpets anywhere so I decided to give mining a go manually. Limpets are basically little drones that can be programmed to do different tasks such as analysing asteroids (prospecting), collecting drilled fragments and breaking people's hatches so that their cargo spills and pirates can pick their cargo up.

Found some nickel and iron but nothing really valuable, and to get that I had to drill into a few asteroids and physically catch the bits of asteroid that flew off with my cargo scoop. Am definitely going to try with prospector and collection limpets next time I give this a go.

Had a pirate chance his arm whilst I was mining but my two big fuck off guns and my pulse lasers reduced his ship to scrap in short order lol ;D :P

My pulse lasers still aren't anywhere near as powerful as I want them to be but my guns are pretty much the dog's wotsits, as is every other bit of my ship. 8)

I loved this game playing it in the 80s with wireframe graphics, I loved playing it when it became Elite Dangerous playing it flat but in VR it's truly amazing. I wish guys could experience this, for a sci-fi geek like me this really is extraordinary. I can't put into words how cool this is in VR, seriously. Amazing. 8)

Just done my first bit of mining using some limpets, didn't make a great deal of credits - around 33K - and I wasted a load of limpets while I was trying to work out how to use the things but it was good fun. I'm going to have my tea and will carry on after that. I'm currently docked in the George Lucas space station in the Leesti system, which some of you may remember being the next system over from the Lave system that you start off in back in the original game in the 80s.

No pirates attacking this time though, and I was mining in a more dangerous Resource Extraction Site this time too!

I've got a couple of hundred thousand credits worth of bounty hunter vouchers to cash in too but I might wait for a bit before I trade them in and give them to an engineer around 60-odd Light Years away that's asking for them. He's a weapons specialist so it's going to be worth my while doing that I reckon. 8)

There are a few engineers scattered around the galaxy specialising in different areas and you need to satisfy certain conditions before they'll talk to you.

I got around 110,000 credits, not too bad.

I might have to have a look at getting some more cargo space I reckon. Have got 24 tonnes at the moment, will have a look and see what I can do without in my ship and bung in another cargo bay.

I'm really liking the Cobra so far, I think I might even prefer it over the Vulture. It's not quite as much of a mental killing machine but it handles really well and is quite versatile.

Well the result of the Zenimax vs Oculus lawsuit is in. The jury decided to award Zenimax a total of $500m, I didn't think they would get more than that and Oculus/Facebook are bound to appeal it. Zenimax are saying they're considering an injunction to stop Oculus from selling any VR hardware and software, not sure how much of that is posturing though. I think I remember reading somewhere that the $500m settlement includes a clause preventing them from taking more legal action so they could be saying that in an effort to stop Oculus/Facebook and the other plaintiffs appealing the decision.

$350m is bugger all to Facebook, $50m is bugger all to Luckey and $150m is bugger all to Iribe too.

I'd quite like the plaintiffs to decide against appealing and just pay up - but pay Zenimax in pennies lmfao ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There probably aren't that many pennies in the whole United States, the US Treasury will probably have to make more lololol

350+50+150=500?

Maths isn't your strong suit, is it... :P

(Should be 300 for Facebook, not 350)

Oooops, yup. I'm mathematically dyslexic as it goes. Not even sure if that's a thing but I've always had trouble with numbers. I've just had a quick look online and it's called dyscalculia. My depression also makes it difficult for me to concentrate on these sort of things too. :-[

Still, my point still stands, that sort of money isn't a problem to those involved. Zuckerberg probably has around $300m down the back of his sofa lmfao :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Have now doubled my cargo space, my ship can now carry 48 tonnes 8)

Found 1 ton's worth of Low Temperature Diamonds in an icy asteroid field last night worth around 57,000 credits, shame I didn't find any more though. Each chunk that I cut from the asteroid was only around 5 or 6% diamond too so it took me AGES to get a ton of the bloomin things :o

I ended up with around 200,000 credits worth of stuff so it was a good mining session ;D

Whoops! I decided to go for a High RES last night, had a full cargo hold of loads of valuable stuff including gold and silver. Just finished mining and my ship got practically cut in half by an Elite pirate. That's what you get for having eyes bigger than your belly lol :-[ ;D ;D ;D

Think I'll stick with normal RES sites from now on lol. :-\
