RED MIST DESCENDS FOR THE KNIGHTS

Reports are coming through that the Knights went ballistic on sneaking the title last night and wrecked a few local pubs after. In what turned out to be an interesting season for sidraT, who beat the top 2 but struggled against some of the other teams, the latter win saw the Knights grab the trophy. RSK assistant manager Hyadh-V said "the boys did the best, we knew if we outscore the opposition there was a chance we might win.. so we kept doing it"

Fremfurt manager Gull was unavailable for comment at the time of writing this but Red Star's club captain, Cloud, praised their effort and already began talking of trying to maintain the push for next season because you can be sure Gull will be putting his boys through their paces and coming back even harder

Well done Nish on the title, had have a very busy 2 weeks so haven't been as active as I'd have liked. A very impressive run for you against the better teams in the division midway through the season pretty much sealed the deal. When I completely forgot to set up against The Killers & still came away with a 1-0 win, I was beginning to think the luck was on my side...!

Been an unfortunate season with injuries and just felt short at the final hurdle. Time to rebuild now for next season with many of my defence approaching the inevitable decline of stats. Enjoy competing in 6-1-1 so will still stay put but may need a season or two to compete for the title again.

EINTRACHT FREMFURT IN TURMOIL AS MANAGER GULL DEPARTS FOR PASTURES NEW

EINTRACHT FREMFURT have announced manager Gull has left the club with immediate effect.

A statement from Fremfurt on Friday morning said:
"The club would like to thank D Larcs for his work during his time at Eintracht Fremfurt and to wish him success in the future.
A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager."

The news comes two days after Fremfurt's embarrassing 20-0 defeat to 3rd place Im a Blade FC, meaning they finish 5pts behind champions Red Star Knights.

Gull took charge of Fremfurt in the winter of 2018 and have come close to silverware on many occasions, narrowly missing out on the 6-1-1 title and suffering heartbreak in last years Elite Cup Final, going down 1-0 to Wizards. Fremfurt then finished second in 6-1-1 this term, although their performances in SL Cups and FL2 in this campaign left a lot to be desired. Fremfurt season comes to an end in three days time with the conclusion of the FL2.

REACTION FROM TWITTER AS GULL DEPARTS

@FremfurtGal37 :-
I'm gutted - but not surprised. With probably the biggest budget in the league,
the owners were always going to be eager to see a return on their investment.
We played attractive football at times but the facts are he couldn't deliver a trophy.

@EFC4Eva :-
Good riddance.

@FremfurtUSA :-
His loss is someone elses gain. He needed time!
All the best for the future Gull and hope you find a
club that will appreciate you. Tactical genius and top bloke.

@MikeyB2019 :-
Our squad should be winning the league and atleast
be challenging for a Top 3 spot in the FL1. Instead we
lose out to Red Star and even worse lie mid table in FL2. Had to go.

UNFANCIED PYROS FIGHTING FIRE WITH FIRE

With the season now 8 games in there's an unfamiliar face holding their own at the top of the league, Welsh outfit PYROS lie 3rd having notched 16 out of a possible 24pts. Manager Leigh would probably be the first to admit he wasn't surprised that his side weren't talked about pre-season when critics were speculating who would claim this years 6-1-1 crown. Despite defeats to Craoiva and SidraT, PYROS have drawn against Margate and won the rest of their fixtures giving them the best GD in the league. With tough games to come though, many are questioning whether or not the form will last - fans don't seem worried though and are happy remain under the radar.

Think that's it for me now, had a lot of TA in the last game but a pesky 45th minute red card meant I had to settle for a draw!

that’s quite a turn! injuries and pint pots took its toll on Gull, and now 3 teams can win it on the final day!

Yeah just a shame this & last season have been my strongest, yet been unlucky with injuries and AWOLS at the wrong time - before that I've been fine! Players ageing / heading to decline may be a reason?
