CONFERENCE 6-1-2 TEAM PROFILE

FREMINGTON

Another team joining STEAUA SUDULUI in 6-1-1 next season are Devon outfit FREMINGTON. In charge of the club is high profile manager Gull, who swapped the South coast of Devon for the North following his departure from ex-6-1-1 team PARK MY SEAGULL. FREMINGTON have been relatively untroubled in 6-1-2 with just three defeats this season being enough to all but secure them 2nd place. With some eye-catching results in recent private leagues and a rumoured Starting XI combined rating of 689, many people tip FREMINGTON to challenge for a Top 8 place but manager Gull says just finishing above the relegation places would be an acceptable achievement. FREMINGTON will most likely line up with their favoured 4-5-1ATT formation but have also had success in with a more solid 5-4-1ATT -  One thing for sure Gull doesn't like sitting back and his attacking side have received many plaudits.

NEW LOOK CONFERENCE 6-1-1 UNDERWAY SOON . . . . ....
. . . . . .... AS ARSENAL INVINCIBLES MOVE ON TO PASTURES NEW

Well, the rumours were indeed true. Danny Cobra's title winning side first flirted with the idea of a Conference switch a few weeks ago, and has made the switch permanent popping up in 4-1-1 just in time for the new campaign. The Invincibles have been an unstoppable force in recent times in Conference 6-1-1 and he may felt a tougher challenge was required. With many teams licking their lips at a potential wide open Championship, they of course should remain cautious, with another team from the Invincible franchise LONDON HEAT COLTS coming in as a seemingly equal quality replacement.

It will be a emotional first day for newcomers FREMINGTON, STEAUA SUDULUI, EXODUS and BROUGHTON ASTLEY FC who set foot in 6-1-1 following their promotion from 6-1-2.

Thanks Becks... Predictions? Well I think Im a Blade FC look in pretty decent nick. Can't see why you can't challenge for the title either. Of course King Kennys Army will be up there, my team has a few injuries and are low on gelling at the moment so not looking forward to tonights game with Mr Parker. I'm aiming for a Top 8 finish but will be happy to end the season above those pesky relegation places.

Univ.Craoiva celebrate after Thursday evenings game

UNIV. CRAOIVA WIN BATTLE OF ROMANIA

UNIV. CRAOIVA 1 vs 0 STEAUA SUDULUI

Steaua Suduluis blistering unbeaten start in 6-1-1 came to an end on Thursday evening as the fell to defeat to Romanian league rivals Uni.Craoiva. In all fairness, this was always going to be a tricky fixture on paper as Uni.Craoiva themselves have had a great start to the season. A 60th minute strike from Justin Credible was enough to seal the deal, with an inspired defensive performance from MOM Chanda Lear helping to thwart any Steaua comeback. Steaua will look to bounce back when they travel to Newcastle to take on The Killers, whilst it doesn't get any easier for Uni as they travel to new league leaders King Kennys Army.

ELITE CUP REPRESENTATIVES

There was a break from 6-1-1 action last night as the Elite Cup got underway.
The results from the teams that were representing the 6-1-1 Conference are below:

KRAKOV 0 vs 3 KING KENNYS ARMY
GALATASARAYSK 0 vs 4 IM A BLADE FC
INTERCHESTER FANTIES 0 vs 21 STEAUA SUDULUI
CSI-MARGATE 14 vs 1 MONTREAL IMPACT
EXODUS 2 vs 0 FC SIDRAT
SENATORS A vs W FREMINGTON (Senators were unable to raise a side, Fremington go through to the next round)
CORINTHIAN CLOWNS 4 vs 0 LONDON HEAT COLTS

WITH THE HALLOWEEN PERIOD FAST APPROACHING STEAUA ARE SHOW SOME FRIGHTENING FORM

6 wins a row and 2 points clear, new league leaders STEAUA SUDULUI are certainly showing some scary form as their rapid rise from 6-1-2 to top place in 6-1-1 continues to catch the eye. The cliched saying of winning games despite not being at your best especially rang true yesterday evening, as FREMINGTON pushed Steaua all the way before narrowly losing 1-0. Steaua hitman Cosmo Kramer continues to hit the headlines, as not only does he lead the goalscoring chart in 6-1-1 but also the entire x-1-1 conferences.

It's double double toil and trouble just beneath the league leaders, as IM A BLADE FC and KING KENNYS ARMY are tied up on 31 points. The Blades surrended top spot as they were held to a tightly contested 0-0 draw to improving CSI-MARGATE, whereas league kingpins KKA put 10 past dead and buried LONDON HEAT COLTS. Relegated from 6-1-1 2 years ago, EXODUS appear to be resurrected from the dead as they lie an impressive 4th. It was just the 16 for them without a reply last night, as The Grim Reaper is sharpening his scythe down at BROUGHTON ASTLEY FC where they lie rock bottom after another heavy defeat.

There's some eerie goings-on down at the bottom, as MARINERS PARK and NAVAL AND MILITARY have star-studded teams, yet there appears to be a complete lack of tactical approach play which mean there's a lot of easy pickings for the majority of 6-1-1. They lie 14th and 15th respectively and are staring in the face of relegation.

It's a case of trick or treat as there are many teams eyeing up the final spot for an Inter-Conference Cup place. With a good run of form any one of UNIV. CRAOIVA, THE BLURRED CRUSADE, THE KILLERS, PYROS or FREMINGTON could stake a claim. FC SIDRAT and RKS CITY lie comfortably in the Top 8 and are having solid seasons.

BIG GAME TONIGHT AT THE TOP OF 6-1-1...

3am KO: STEAUA SUDULUI vs IM A BLADE FC

With STEAUA SUDULUI suffering a demoralising 0-1 defeat last evening, they host league leaders  IM A BLADE FC in a huge 6 pointer. They don't come any bigger, and a win for the Blades would see them open a 6 point gap with 12 games to play. Steaua won't argue with the fact that they need nothing other than 3 points should they want to keep in the hunt for their first 6-1-1 title.

Congrats to Steaua on the title win! Infact 3 of the 4 promoted teams finished well, Exodus in 3rd and myself in 5th. On a personal level went the 2nd half of the season on a 15 game unbeaten streak. Shame I had such a poor first half, although the majority of my games were away.

STEAUA SUDULUI's wish came true as they stormed to the 6-1-1 title with a convincing 10 point cushion. The key to their success was their effectiveness at both ends of the pitch, with their strikeforce amassing 101 goals and their watertight defence only leaking 7. They didn't have it all their own way though, and IM A BLADE FC pushed them all the way before ultimately falling short along the finishing straight. EXODUS had a very decent season, coming up from 6-1-2 and clinching 3rd place on the final day of the campaign. A final day defeat meant CSI-MARGATE of the CSI franchise fell to 4th, whereas FREMINGTON finished the 2nd half of the season strong with a 15 game unbeaten run. Resillent and hard to beat FC SIDRAT came in 6th place and may feel they can push for the title next season if they can turn some of their draws into wins. There's more questions than answers about KING KENNYS ARMY downfall as they've fell like a stone this season into 7th. UNIV. CRAOIVA picked up a couple of good wins and cemented their place in the top 8, qualifying for the ICC next season.

THE KILLERS, RKS CITY, THE BLURRED CRUSADE and PYROS all end up in no mans land, but all survive relegation comfortably.

But KLIPPERTY KLOPP, FC PINGWING, NAVAL AND MILITARY and BROUGHTON ASTLEY FC all suffer relegation.
