Well it certainly wasn't going to be a United player ;D

Just the 14pts off top and still in 6th place. £150m this season well spent I'd say ;D

Have to say after seeing it more, I think it's pretty obvious that Mings didn't mean to stamp on zlatans head.  It's only one angle that it looks bad in.  Zlatan definitely elbowed Mings on purpose though.. And to come out and say that Mings jumped into his elbow just shows what a prick he is... I can see some retrospective action being taken there ;D

If you watch it again in slow motion, it appears that Zlatan tried to stamp on Mings.. missed and then fell over Rooney and held his leg... Mings was unbalanced getting up from tackling Rooney (and Rooney was still in the way), he looked down to see where Zlatan was play-acting and then tried to jump past Rooney and over Zlatan but unfortunately his boot hit Zlatan's head.  People have their own opinions and I can see on one camera angle it did look bad.. but going on the character of the player and the fact he came out straight away and denied it.. combined with the fact that it would be very contentious... I think the FA will find it hard to ban him.

Zlatan unequivocally elbowed Mings in the head.. there's no getting away from that.. it was a pre-meditated act and the fact that Zlatan came out and said that Mings jumped into his elbow.. I think he will rightfully get a 3 match ban by the FA.  Next thing you know Jose will come out and say there's an agenda against United (to hide from the fact he's spent £150m this season and is still only 6th) ;) ;D

He looked down TWICE. And you can see that in EVERY angled scene. It was a deliberate stamp and a very nasty one at that.

Personally I think that BOTH players should get a 5 match ban. You can understand why Zlatan did what he did but two wrongs don't make a right.

The player that pushed Zlatan over should also have got a straight red. He raised his hands, pushing other players over is part of what that rule covered. There was also another Bournemouth player that should have seen red with a double booking but somehow only ended up with one yellow.

It was a very poor performance from the ref tbh, there should have only been 18 players on the pitch by the time the final whistle went.

Well they've both been charged...shame ;D ;D ;D

I think United can kiss 2nd/3rd place in the league goodbye ;)

Even if he gets banned for 5 matches we can cope without him ;)

I'm not worried, we have Rashford, Rooney, Martial, Mata and Micki to pick up the slack. ;)

Oh yeah.. they've done so well so far haven't they.. 17 goals between the lot of them.. same amount that Costa has on his own ;D

Even Alonso has scored more goals than Rashford, Rooney, Martial and Mkhitaryan in the premier league so far ;D ;D

I'm not too worried.

I see that Minger is appealing his 3 match ban which means he'll get the 5 match ban that he should have got anyway. Zlatan isn't appealing his so we'll only lose him for 3 matches. Both players should have got a 5 match ban right from the start, disgraceful behavious from both of them (although you can understand why Zlatan did it).

Of course he's appealing the ban, it was an accident ;)

Thanks to Stoke last night (who won me a bit of wonga too by drawing) - Chelsea only have to win 8 games out of this 11 to win the league:

Stoke (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Man City (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Man Utd (A)
Southampton (H)
Everton (A)
Middlesborough (H)
West Brom (A)
Sunderland (H)
Watford (H)

I personally do think Mings deliberately tried to stamp on Zlatan. The way his foot was coming down wasn't a natural movement to me.

That said, I'd want to stamp on the big nosed twats head as well, so can't really blame him.

I also think we'd have been better off against Zlatan. Good though he is, his lack of pace makes him less of a threat. I think a combination of Rashford/Martial might cause us more problems.
