Hi guys n gals

Just come in and noticed I only drew my friendly today. After being in contention and having won all my friendlies up until today, I studied the report and simply don't get it. I was ahead in ATs the whole game, despite the match report telling me I only had 43 possession to Daoist's 57 (yes I know it's only cosmetic but ...) he had a player injured and yes home advantage but even so how did I not win this?! I don't want this to sound like sour grapes and take nothing away from my opponent but still - to say I'm not happy right now is an understatement - although I daresay I'll get over it eventually.

Just had a look at this for you.

I will say that player stats account for quite a lot on this game at the moment, and his squads stats are much higher than yours, pretty much in every position.

Also from experience, 3-4-3 is a hopeless formation. Not much defence, no width.. overall pretty weak in terms of this game.

Also playing conditions and weather suited "continental" playing style, and you used passing.

Tie that in with maybe a "slight" home advantage and a slight aggression advantage  (your pansy vs his normal)... and you've got all the ingredients for a bore draw  however with 90 mins advantage you'd expect to have got something from that.

The only thing I could add also is to utilise subs to freshen your squad during the game... I've found I concede less and get more out of a game when I use subs.

Funnily enough that team tripped me up in the friendly ladder last season with similar circumstances... so did not get a friendly challenge this time around

Appreciate the opinions and yes, I see what you mean and maybe should have played normal and subbed later in the game but I do agree that with 90 minutes of ATs beating his the whole time, I should at least have got a goal and won the game. That's what was bugging me. Oh well never mind. Cheers anyway.

This ones a head scratcher too, i get beaten by a team in the relegation zone last night. Statistically my team are quite a bit stronger, also they played longball in windy conditions. They had a higher aggression for the majority of the match and had an extra 15 minutes TA but i still dont get it

Yeah but matching aggression at normal? Thats a raw deal however you look at it

I've had double reds with certain refs before, it's just one of those things. The reds did it for you, as all goals were scored after you went down to 9 men. Also, he had 75 minutes tactical advantage so even if the reds didn't happen, you would have struggled.

i get that id have struggled Marv, its really the double reds that bugged me, whenever i matched aggression, its never happened me before and took me by surprise, so early on in the game...

just a part of the game you can't plan for, I've had them playing pansy before! For being high as a kite funnily enough, if it was for punching the ref of cantona kicking a fan or something I'd understand!

I had 45 minutes advantage
35 minutes even tactics
10 minutes opposition advantage.

All player positions correct including subs

I had 45 mins aggression advantage

Home advantage.

Only difference was I was using a ever so slightly less favoured formation.

Thoughts from all?

I remember reading the match report and thinking myself lucky Marv.

Either the formation difference or just maybe a difference in moral/fitness? Sometimes after i come off a division match my team have noticeably lower stats than other teams i spy on...

Either way im taking the win  lol

Thankfully I've had a reasonable spell of no injures so going into that I had 100 gelling on each player including subs. I can only imagine it's formation, which is fair enough, as I know the game favours 451 and 523.. That's the only real formation I can use which uses my strongest possible 11 until my new players get a festival seasons in and I can use 451 attacking.. let's hope not hard done by today
