FL2 58
« on: January 10, 2017, 07:43:55 PM »
This is a 30 fence Grand National. This is the Midlands Grand National. Hard going, tough underfoot, frozen pitches, Underwater goats with aqualungs. It never rains but it pours. Make no mistake it really is a marathon. Fence one has been tackled. Four clear jumps, four refusals and eight teams who grabbed at that trailing rope and managed to grab it. Up and over and beyond. Early days yet. Much ducking and diving to go. ::) :o :-X ;) 8)

Early days in FL2. Right Enuff and Corinthian Casuals both have Maximum points. Steve and The Drogs have four points after seeing off Redhill Rovers, 2-1 at home. Tricky trees and Exodus also have four points. Exodus saw off Harricam 1-0. Ag was heard to say we deserved a draw. He was highly critical of three substitutes being used to sway the games result. This was because his sub's did not receive any instructions. The Seg, The "Mill" and Harricam are in good company with Redhill Rovers, the "red" hot favourites for FL2, near the foot of the table. From The "Luddites" in 6th place to Fools United in 10th these teams all have 2 points. The Luddites have 3 points. All the better to build on. ;) 8)

Top two positions remain the same. Right Enuff and Corinthian Casuals both sponsored by Pepsi Max. Those Tree's "Don't you like my Apples?" from The Wizard of Oz, and Exodus have seven points a piece. Fifth to thirteenth place are covered by 3 points, ie. Steve's drogs on five points down to a variety of teams on 2 points. A Win or three will put anyone in the mix. So all get your food mixers out and sort out your match winning ingredients.  8)

It would be great if any or all FL2 managers put their hat into the arena and added their own unique take on what's happening before your very eye's. ;D :o :'( :-* :-\ :-X :P :-[ 8)

Ags you know I'm always around, been busy with lots of stuff outside of SL recently so haven't had the chance to be around as much as I'd like.

That being said, bit of a disaster start to the season for me. My league and FL form couldn't be more different.

Right Enuff and Corinthian Casuals are beginning to develop a grip on the summit of FL2. Both with four straight wins. Can anybody stop them? When do they play each other? Will it matter? Those tree's who are being tricky, are in 3rd place with ten points. Trying to stand tall and overlook the forest of tree's. Redhill Rovers are moving up on the blind side into 4th place. We all need to fuss about tactics, and getting the right boots and which direction the wind is coming from and what film is on UK Gold, how many seagulls are by the lake in the park.

Seven to four points cover the teams from 4th - 12th places. Every point is a blessing. We all need to be positive and go for the twelve promotion places available. Then the dream ended. ;) ;D :o ??? ::) 8)

The dream of promotion is far better than the nightmare that awaits in FL1.  Believe me!

Spotlight on Right Enuff:Home Division 511

Top of the table with five straight wins. We take a closer look at this footballing machine. They have scored 13 goals and only conceded 1. They have dominated three of their games by 10% points. A closer look at Their game v The Ogres has the game 50/50 but to the watching TV audience Right Enuff not only played them off the park but took them for a ride over the hills and far away. It was a closer game today as They played Steve's Drog's. Still managing a 0-1 away win. The goal scorer's are spread about the team but look out for Uncle Bob (Terminator 2?) Alan Shearer, Alan Wright and Thierry Henry.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the Division, Corinthian Casuals, are keeping right up on the shoulder of the leader. They have five straight wins also. Redhill Rovers are beginning to turn on the style as they slide into third place just shading Tricky Trees into fourth.

The Seg move into fifth place after getting used to breathing the more rarified air of FL2. That's two wins, two draws and only the one loss for Chaz's mob(sters) The Luddites are bidding their time in 6th. Plenty of wax on, wax off at their training sessions. Harricam peer over the parapet into the top half of the Division, legs flapping wildly trying to find a firm foothold that's going to keep them in the top half. Completing the top half of FL2 are Exodus. May be a bit disappointed with a couple of indifferent team displays.

Tomorrow, there will be a Spotlight on a different team. We will also look at the bottom half of the table. However i'm sure some things will be different after tomorrow's games. ;) 8)

Right Enuff remain top of FL2, despite dropping their first points of the campaign in a draw with Aten Warriors. Although "Right" dominated the game it wasn't "Enuff" to take all three points. Corinthian Casuals remain 2nd in the table even after suffering their first defeat to Fools Utd. The "Casuals" dominated the game on paper but The Fools took the points. Redhill Rovers remain 3rd after beating The Seg 0-2. But with the top two slipping up today "Redhill" move within three points of the top of the table. The Tricky Trees remain 4th after a 0-0 draw with Exodus. The "Trees" threw everything including the kitchen sink at the Exodus goal but could not produce a match winner.

In today's bottom half of the table, arrive The "Luddites" after suffering a 2-3 defeat to The Rumour Mill. The Mill's Manager hope's this result will start to propel his team up the Division. Steve's Drogs and Oi Prasinoi share the spoils with a 1-1 draw. Naval and Military have a narrow 0-1 to Team Georgia Maya Jay. The Ogres prop up the table after going down 1-4 to Harricam. The Ref played a big part in this game, sending off three players. Two of those players were sent off in the first half reducing the Ogres to nine players. The game was over as a result when a Harricam player was sent off.

Spotlight on Aten Warriors: Home Division 411

Aten have 3 points after six games. The first game was a draw with The Rumour Mill. Aten's second game was a 1-1 draw with The Ogres. Aten were dominating this game until they had a player sent off. The next three games were two narrow 0-1 defeats to Team "Georgia" and The Seg. Worst defeat was Aten going down 1-3 to Corinthian Casuals. Aten have scored three goals with seven against. The margin between winning and losing can be so narrow :) 8)

Right Enuff are still top of FL2. However they were beaten 0-1 by Exodus today. As a result Exodus move into 7th place. Redhill Rovers move into second place in the table as they beat this mornings second placed team, Corinthian Casuals, 1-0. The highly fancied Redhill Rovers are in second place only by less goals scored. The Trees remain in fourth after beating Aten Warriors. Harricam maintain their fifth place with a 4-0 win over Team "Georgia." The Seg move up to 6th with a narrow 1-0 victory over Fools United :D 8)

A short write up this evening. Lots to report but in a minimalist style. Two points separate the top five. Pressure is on. Different picture to a few days ago when the table was dominated by two teams. Sixth to tenth place are again separated by two points. Lots to scrap for. So many teams could go on a winning streak. So many teams may not.... :) ;) :D ;D :o ??? :P :-X 8)

Two points separate the top five teams. A mere drop in the ocean. However, to quote Arkwright, there has been some jiggeling...of top five positions. Right Enuff are back on the top of the table, after a dominant win of 5-0 over The Luddite's. Those Tricky Trees from Mirkwood, move into second place, with a 2-0 win over Corinthian Casuals. Into third move Ag's Harricam, currently run by Ag's Caretaker, who have elevated this team to another level(42.) Redhill Rovers drew 0-0 with Team Georgia and lost a little ground.

Separating 6th position fron 12th position are three points. A couple of wins will go along way in the push up the table.  ;) :P 8)

Harricam went top of FL2 today. They beat Right Enuff 1-0. The Harricam press conference was all if's and but's. If this happens, but that could happen. He even rehearsed a scene from The Wizard of Oz, when asked about FL1. He said there was a sign in the wood's saying. "I'd turn back if I was you." Ag said, "We're a FL2 kinda team.

Redhill Rovers beat The "Luddites" 4-0 to go back into 2nd place. Right Enuff and The Tricky Trees occupy third and fourth places respectively. In fifth are Corinthian Casuals. The top five teams are separated by only four points.

There is a tough four team mid table battle going on. Fools united. The Seg, Exodus and The Drogs, are separated by only three poits. This is a teriffic lauchpad for a top three assault.  :-X :-\ :o ??? 8)

Ags you're absolutely flying at the moment. What have you fed your team to get them to perform like they are?
