Official league Expansion or not?
« on: February 12, 2017, 01:45:09 AM »
Call me a glutton for punishment on this subject after the last time but I think we should have consensus on where we go forward with this. I do urge EVERYBODY to vote weather you join the leagues or not as it's where we move forward with this.

I made it a poll so your vote is annonymous. I cannot see myself who has voted for what. Of course, you can post aswell if you would like voice your opinions.

Majority vote counts.
You can't change your vote once you've made it.
Can only see the results after you've posted.
We are The Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Is that the Gold and Cider Leagues?

Hard to decide until all the votes are in?

If enough votes for a number come in (plus two spares) - so 16 would require 18 votes for it - then it should be 16?

I'll vote 16 because I like longer competitions.

From a training benefit point of view I think the more teams that can benefit from this the better. The majority of top teams who spend money to be one of said top teams won't be affected by this, but for us free players who can't spend 4.5k credits every season on friendlies for the training, these competitions are a great way to get some extra training sessions at  fraction of the cost.

Also from a competitive point of view, it would be a nice idea to have one of these leagues for free players as I imagine most don't even think about joining these leagues as they are usually filled within hours by the top teams.

Will leave the vote running till the end of the current Gold League. All that have voted can see how the vote is progressing.

As a returning player who didn't know about the benefits first time round, what exactly are they?

Is it just afternoon training even if you don't have a friendly or is there more than that?

The "Official League" that needs expanding is the league that starts near the end of the season/when the season has finished. I say it this way because its a random start determined by the Borg. This competition should be 16 teams. When its full, start another league, etc etc. Everyone who wants to should benefit from it. It makes so much sense rather than running it as an eight team league. Its just too exclusive and has no need to be. The Borg could let Steve start Gold League 2 and then another Manager can start Gold League 3 if needed.

Everyone who wants to benefit then can, rather than eight teams who get exclusive training through the off season. :) 8)

If someone could jump in for the Beer Cup we could get that started before the new season starts. It may only be one game we get but every little helps. It's tough playing one of the teams who's had the benefits of these matches if we play them in the first or second match of the new season

Voted for 16 teams

Kill the free training and it will settle the arguement  ;)
The game owners would lose too much if these went to 16.

Who started the free training in the first place as these "official" competitions are not that old. 8)

Disagree with removing the training element. It's a great way for free teams to get extra training sessions at a fraction of the cost, keeping the game more competitive.
