UCB for next season (Ultimate conference battle)

Some of your old timers may remember this. Bit of a classic. Be good to have this back to see where the conferences are at in strength. I can't believe C5 won't have a single represnetative in FL1 next season.

What is the ultimate conference battle??
Each conference has a team of 4 managers. This team is picked by the captain which is the conference winner.. Once the captain has picked his team of 4. Each team will be put in a league of 8 A/B/C/D against 1 team from the other 7 conferences. So each league of 8 will have 1 team from each conference. However, it doesnt get drawn in like the TCL. The leagues will be randomised. Your captain will select which league to put the 4 teams. As will the other 7 captains. Without knowing who is in what league (hope that makes sense??)
Once leagues are drawn up. Enter via private league. All 4 teams points for that given day wil be combined. One day the team could get 12 points the next 0 points. You need to rely on your teammates to win this while doing your part for the team. Combined league will be posted on the forums.

This does sound very interesting.  Conference 4 would have been much stronger if Mr Borg hadn't bailed out  ( to find an easier league)  a couple of seasons ago  after  he fell over in it      But , then again,  I probably wouldn't have won it this season if he hadn't.. so I'm happy enough.

But seriously, I would be honoured to captain the Conference 4 team next season if people want to do this  because I know we have the best team!  Ant and Deca  ( must be the best partnership in show biz) , if you're up for it let's  show the  other leagues that Conf 4 is the best  and  lets do this...

This is correct. When I've been captain I have picked who I thought was best for the team. Can be anyone providing their in that given conference.

Multiple teams were allowed in the past. Obviously got seperated into seperate leagues when drawn.

Hee hee.  Anything to stimulate the ultimate inter conference battle. Just make sure your scoutships are well protected when they come across our battle cruisers.     We might have a submarine lurking too.

You can already get choosing your team DVG. Send some messages out. Like has been said, you don't neccesarily have to go for top 4. Pick your strongest 4, you being 1 of course.
