Round one of the conference three cup starts tomorrow!

The defending champions are Westeros, the non-conference 3 team. Can anyone in conference 3 prevent them from winning back to back cups? Former runners up Rathpeacon will be their first opponents.

In the other ties, new entrants D Rivals entertain past champions and 3-1-1 leaders Green Bay. 3-1-2 leaders Lone Rangers play Wizards FC while Wizards play the Rumour Mill.

Conference three cup round one

The champions are through to the semi finals after a 1-0 win over Rathpeacon. No one has ever successfully defended this title, could Westeros be the first to do so?

In the other games, 3-1-1 leaders Green Bay were too good for newcomers D Rivals. Hopefully D Rivals will learn from the experience and become a stronger side for next season.

3-1-2 leaders Lone Rangers beat Wizards FC 1-0 while Wizards and the Rumor Mill were involved in a five goal thriller. Both were level at 1-1 at half time and again level at 2-2 at full time. However, the Rumour Mill scored in the first minute f extra time to record a famous victory.

After tonight's game where I have set up to the best of this teams and my ability I will be removing "Monreal Impact" to a different division.

The reason why I will do this tomorrow as this team would still have everyone to play once and with a CPU in place of it everyone would be guaranteed 3 points.

As I am starting a re-build I would see it unfair playing against everyone again as this team is going to be chopped and changed for a while.

So... the visitors and holders Westerosi  will face the current leaders of Conf 3 in the Cup Final ...the mighty Green Bay Parkers.  That is  going to be a cracking match! Looking forward to it.

Congratulations to Green Bay Packers, conference 3 cup champions, the first team to win this cup twice.

Today they met the defending champions and non-conference team Westeros. Some early pressure lay the ground work for a 35th minute opening goal. Try as they might, Westeros could not find an equaliser.

I just want to say well done to Westeros on putting up a great defence of their title and also for helping us to keep the conference 3 cup running for the past two seasons.

I will try and organise another conference 3 cup for next season, probably with just 8 teams. I hope we can fill this again.

Thanks Cove.  Enjoyed playing in that and disappointed to have lost.  Well played to Green Bay Parkers..too good for me on the day.   I played my best but not good enough.  Honour restored to Conference 3.
