Let me know if you want another to enter - happy to play. With the last 3 teams entering from outside of conference 3, you should end up with one of the first round ties being between out of conference 3 teams ;D

Yes we would. That means one or two non-conference three teams or guest teams in the quarter final.

Passwords sent to both

Round one of the conference 3 cup took place yesterday. The defending champions have fallen at the first hurdle. Top Rank lost 3-1 to Jimbo's Pompey Chimes, could this be the Chimes year?

3-1-3 leaders Lone Rangers showed their intent with a 2-0 over Rathpeacon. 3-1-1 leaders Hoarse Whisperers had a narrow 2-1 win over 3-1-2 leaders Wizards.

Wizards FC had a 2-0 win over Ocean Beach. CSI beat Clayton 2-1 and MMMRS Phoenix Pigs beat Rumour Mill 2-1.

Our two non-conference three guest teams both won. Westeros beat the former champions Belgische Verpakkers 2-1 while the Seg saw off Saiyan Warriors 5-0.

Round one results
Rathpeacon   0 - 2    Lone Rangers
Hoarse Whisperers   2-1    Wizards
Wizards FC   2 - 0    Ocean Beach
The Pompey Chimes   3-1    Top Rank Fc
CSI-Ramsgate   2-1    Clayton Royals
The Rumour Mill   1-2    Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs
Belgische Verpakkers   1-2    Westeros XI
The Seg   5 - 0    Saiyan Warriors

Some very interesting games in the quarter finals. Games will be played on Tuesday, good luck all

Quarter finals
The Seg   vs    The Pompey Chimes
Lone Rangers   vs    Wizards FC
Hoarse Whisperers   vs    CSI-Ramsgate
Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs   vs    Westeros XI

Nice write up Eamonn!

I'm having a terrible season in 3-1-1 at the moment so this cup may well be my only chance for some success.... ;)

However, looking at the draw for the quarter finals I think The Seg away from home is a really tough fixture! Fingers crossed  8)

That gives me a glimmer of hope Chazz  ;)

What's Conference 2 like? I'm considering moving to another x-1-1.

2/3 seasons ago, it was probably the toughest conference up there along with 1-1-1. It's slipped off a little bit recently, Winter Milan and The Donks are both currently on a break but Old Fullerians AFC have just returned who used to dominate the conference when I first started. The top 4/5 teams are probably similar to 3-1-1, it seems as though there is a bit more depth in 3-1-1 lower down the division though.

I nearly joined Conference Two 3/4 seasons ago but opted for Conference Three as it was more active in terms of the forum activity. Sadly a few top managers have gone awol or changed to other x-1-1's. However, it still remains very competitive which is great! I'm weighing up my options for next season so if a space is available I may switch over. Best of luck with the rest of your season Chazz, looking good for the 2-1-1 title!
