Congrats to Steve for setting up five divisions in the FL competition. A mighty effort indeed. Any newcomer's to the FL world, welcome, and we wish you all the luck you wish for yourselves. The Season is a marathon, not a sprint. Try not to be too disappointed if some results go against you. Ag, I hope your paying attention ;) 8)

Seven games with a winner, and one drawn game complete the first day of FL5. The one draw was between The Tumbling Sixers, from here on in known as the Sixers and S.L.B. Aguias, to be known as Aguilas from now on. A very tight 0-0 game with the Sixers best chance being a missed penalty. Next up are A Selecao Das Quinas(to be known as Das Quinas) and The Somerset Rebels. This was a 1-0 victory to Das Quinas with The Rebels offering little or no resistance.

A 1-0 victory for Standard Liege over The Republic of Leeds was enough to get three points in the bag on the first day. The Standard Manager was quoted as saying, we played our Standard tactics today, with our Standard formation, and we hope to set the Standards in this league. The Negative Amigo's saw off The Crafty Egg with two second half goals from their top striker Val Crow.

Shaktar Senseless went for a stroll on the park and saw off Kane Versus Ings 3-0. Some of the Shaktar players commented it just felt like a practice game. The Cricketers beat Hunt Park Rovers 4-1. "Howzat" chanted the crowd. Telly Vision scored a Hatrick and promptly took the match ball and put it in his car. The Manager told him to bring it back or there would be no game tomorrow.

It was one way traffic with The Rhubarb Triangle beating Non Contact Rovers 4-0. Bud Weiser scored a hatrick and was seen at the bar later with a flagon of his namesake beer. What a sponsorship deal he thought, me and Bud. Harricam find themseves at the top of the table after beating Stow Wanderers 5-0. Robbie had a hatrick, and then had a little moan about being substituted before he could grab a fourth. Ag's post match press conference was designed to keep his Team's feet firmly on the ground. "I don't want them thinking of themselves as Legend's in their own Lunchtimes. Legends in somebody else's Lunchtime possibly. ;) 8)

Day two see's six teams with maximum points and five teams with zero points. There were no draws today. The Republic of Leeds got their first three points on the board with a 1-0 victory over The Somerset Rebels. The game looked fairly even except for the goal separating the teams. Standard Liege make it two wins out of two. Their striker Al Nino weighed in with both goals in their 2-0 win.

The Rhubarb Triangle keep their momentum up as they scored in the 15th minute with a 1-0 win over The Aguias of SLB. The Triangle's have all the angles covered after picking up 6 points from two games. The Negative Amigo's took Non Contact Rovers to the cleaners with a 6-1 victory. Val Crow scored a hatrick and did three laps of the pitch to prove the point. With this victory The Amigo's move into 2nd place in FL5.

The Crafty Egg won their first game of the season away at Hunt Park Rovers. Sheeza Freak scored both their goals. The Crafty Manager, said we don't like to put all our eggs into one basket, but we do play well round Easter. The Cricketers maintain their 100% record with this 2-0 win over Kane Versus Ing's. They remain in third in FL5. It was not easy for the Cricketers as they were only one up until sixty minutes. Also their Keeper, won the man of the match award, which helped the Cricketers as The Ing's searched for an eqauliser.

A hard fought game saw Shakhtar Senseless steal a 0-1 away win at Stow Wanderers. Shakhtar are in 5th place in FL5 after two wins. Stow are yet to get off the mark with any points and remain rooted near the foot of the table. Harricam had to wait until the 34th minute before taking the lead in their victory over Das Quinas. Coutinho was man of the match pulling the strings in midfield. St Mooey the Good was behaving himself. There was not a card in sight anywhere near him. Harricam rounded the game off with two late goals in this 3-0 win. Cuban Pete put the top hat on it with an 87th penalty. Harricam remain at the summit of FL5, on goal difference. ;) 8)

Ag was asleep in his office, in La La Land, dreaming of a thirty game winning run in FL5. The cold tea filled cups filled up half the desk space. He had given up telling The Tea Lady he did not drink tea even with a shot of John Daniel's in it. He woke with a start as The Assistant Manager shook him awake. "We lost Boss, you missed the whole game." Ag wiped the drool from the side of his mouth, and then the pool of drool on his desk, and asked for the game to be recounted to him."The Cricketers played us off the pitch. They used the mirror variation of the tactical method." Ag frowned, "you know, they did the opposite of what we did, and what we wanted them to do." We are now 5th in the league. Back to La La land it is then. The Cricketers now have nine points but slip a place into fourth on goal difference.

Stow Wanderer's finally got the result they deserved as they wiped the floor with Hunt Park Rovers 3-0. One of the pundits was heard to say it could easily been ten nil. The Standard Liege players were like ballerina's combined with sea lions. There movement on and off the ball was graceful and trick filled skill. 3-0 was not a bigger score because of all that playing to the crowd. Here's another Mexican wave!! Liege move into fifth in the table. Bud Weiser is still working hard for his sponsorship deal as he again scored two goals in The Rhubarb triangle's 3-1 victory over The Republic of Leeds. The triangles move into third place.

Shakhtar Senseless saw off The Crafty Egg with a 5-0 win. Bowen Arrow nabbed four of the goals and now holds this season's highest scorer of goals in one game. Shakhtar move into second place in the table. The Negative Amigo's are in top spot in FL5 after a 2-0 win over Kane Versus Ing's. The Amigo's had a player sent off but still proved to strong for The Ing's.

The Aguias did what was necessary. They did not put a foot wrong. Three points went into the bank as they saw off The Somerset rebels 2-0. The Tumbling sixers were forced to wait until the 75th minute before netting the only goal of the game to collect three points. ;) 8)

The Rhubarb Triangle took on top of the table The Negative Amigos and ran out 1-0 winners. As a result The Triangles go top of the table with four wins out of four and The Amigo's plummet to 6th position with their first defeat of the season. Shakhtar Senseless and The Cricketers both went into this game with maximum points. The result was a 1-1 draw. They sit in 3rd and 4th positions respectably Shakhtar had more possession but The Cricketers did enough to get the draw.

After a bad day at the office yesterday, Harricam took on The Somerset Rebels. Harricam recorded a 5-0 win with their striker Cuban Pete leading the line. He scored four goals, and Ag celebrated with a sort of shuffling moonwalk every time the ball hit the back of the net. The Tumbling Sixers where away at The Republic of Leeds today. They came away with all three points after a 0-3 victory. All of their three strikers netted a goal a piece.

Standard Liege are second in the table after recording their fourth straight win today. They claimed the points with a 3-1 win today agaist The Aguila's. However whilst Standard are good for the points it was no stroll in the park. Aguila's scored first. It was 1-1 at half time and only two late goals secured the points. Stow Wanderers and Das Quinas shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw and the Pundits commented  they both had 50% of the possession.

It was a 0-0 draw between Non Contact Rovers and The Crafty Egg. The Eggs fans went home frustrated. They had 19 shots but failed to score. It was a 1-1 draw between Hunt Park Rovers and Kane Versus Ings. Their first points of the Season. 8) 8) 8)

There are four Teams at the top of the league, all on 13 points. They are Shakhtar, Rhubarb Triangles, Standard Liege and The Cricketers. The top of the table clash today was The Triangles v Standard Liege. The result was a 0-0 draw. It was a closely fought game both Managers did not want to lose. They both dropped a place into 2nd and 3rd respectively. Shakhtar took their chance to go top with a 1-0 win over The Amigo's. A hard fought game.

The Cricketers went away to Stow and came away with a 0-1 victory. The winner came in the 68th minute and Stow could not find a reply to get that all important point. The Cricketers stay in 4th place. Harricam were 2-0 up at half time. They began to cruise and almost paid the price as Hunt Park Rovers got a goal back. Harricam held on and took the three points after the 2-1 victory. Ag said there's victories and there's victory's and this was a big win for us.

Somerset Rebels are propping up the table with no points so far in this campaign. Today The Rebels went down 5-0 to The Tumbling Sixers. Elisha Cuthbert scored a hatrick in this one way traffic match. Somerset Rebels motto of "No Surrender" looks in tatters. Aguila's V Das Quinas was a difficult tightly controlled game. The Ref kept muttering, "you've got to pick a pocket or two, and finally on the hour Aquila's got their winning goal and then ran out the game with their hands in their pockets.

The Crafty Egg finally cracked it today. They went to Kane Versus Ings and ran out 0-3 winners. The Manager stood on the touchline at the end of the game and handed out Cadbury's cream eggs to his hard boiled players. Non Contact Rovers saw off The Republic of Leeds 4-1. Luke Kuechly bagged two of their goals. This was Non Contact Rovers first win of the campaign.

Two Teams share the top of FL5. Shakhtar and Standard Liege both have 16 points. Shakhtar went away to Hunt Park and came away 0-2 victors. Both goals came in the second half and Bowen Arrow nabbed both goals. Standard Liege ran out 3-0 winners against The Amigo's.

According to the pundits, The Crafty Egg dominated the game but they could not turn it into a victory. It ended 1-1 with The Rhubarb Triangles scoring a late equaliser. The Triangles remain in third place. Into fourth place creeps Harricam after a 1-1 draw with The Tumbling Sixers. The game was literally settled on penalties. Ag sniffed the air and thought Christmas soon. To the Press attending the post match conference Ag studiously answered all the questions, but all the time he could hear Jingle Bells.

The Cricketers slipped into 5th place after their first defeat of their campaign. They went one up against Das Quinas, but ended up going 1-2 down. Das Quinas where dancing in the street after their Team Coach broke down. Aquil's went away to The Republic of Leeds and came away 1-4 winners. They dominated the game and are beginning to enjoy their time in the spotlight.

Stow Wanderers saw off Somerset Rebels 4-0. Nuff said. Non Contact Rovers saw off Kane Vs Ings 2-0. It was a great day at the office for us noted Non contact's Manager. ::) :-X 8)

Cast adrift and firmly anchored at the foot of FL5 are Somerset Rebels. Their tale of woe continues as today they lost 2-0 to The Crafty Egg. The Crafty Egg's points tally enters double figures as they move into the top half of the table. Kane Versus Ings where the home team taking on The Tumbling Sixers. The Sixers ran out 0-2 victors and move into 5th in the table.

Hunt Park rovers entertained The Republic of Leeds and despite their best efforts they lost 0-1 at home. That was The Republic's second win and takes them five points clear of the relegation zone. (FL6 coming soon?) Non Contact Rovers went to Harricam today. It was all square until the 44th minute when Cuban Pete broke the deadlock. Special mention to Hansen who rarely gets a goal, but he got the third goal today. Ag was pleased with his team's performance. He promissed them a trip to Nando's if they could improve their consistency.

Stow Wanderers were put to the sword 0-4 at home by The Rhubarb Triangle. They were 0-2 down and one of their players, Al. Luminion was sent off after a second yellow card. The Triangles remain in 3rd place with 17 points. The Negative Amigo's and Das Quinas played out a 1-1 draw which saw them maintaining their mid table positions.

Top of the table Shakhtar recorded a 1-0 home victory over The Aguila's. This could so easily have been a draw but 1-0 remained the outcome. According to the pundits The Cricketers were in charge for large parts of this game. However they could not convert it to goals. On the other hand Standard Liege popped up scored a goal which proved to be the winner, keeping them in second place in the table. 8)
