I agree Nick. I played Psycho early on in the season and injured 3 of DVG's players which I still feel guilty about as he was doing well until that point. The problem is though that I used to make the mistake of playing nutter and opposition teams like Angel Rrrr's etc played Psycho and injured my players. I don't blame them, as it's part of the game like you say. I just assumed most managers used Psycho with piddlethwaite and dingberry so started to use it always, just incase the opposition played Psycho and caught me off guard.
It's definitely a good tactic with tho's two refs, but to use it at any other time is just playing to injure players. Maybe if more managers were aware of this it would help to avoid these injuries as much as they happen. And guy's who just spit the dummy out just cause they're losing and play psycho to deliberately injure players should have some sort of punishment for doing this.
It's a tough one, do you take the risk of injuring someone's players or take the risk of your own players being injured? It's not braking any rules using it but definitely agree if it can be avoided then we should do so in the spirit of the game. I had the option to play nutter/psycho against iwopp recently but chose to play normal to avoid injuring his players. Admittedly I only done this as it was with my second team and assumed I would lose anyway.. (I won btw, that's karma lol)
Sorry again DVG I hope you understand mate and don't hold a grudge.. I want to play and win things fairly otherwise it ruins the joy of winning things. We should all be on a level playing field.
