The real problem with this is when someone decides to take the spot. If it's early in the campaign it may not effect goal difference. If this happens later it can make a difference. I lost a title to GD this way a few seasons ago as the computer team was replaced by someone who knew what they were doing after 10 or so games. It's likely to happen again in C8 to me this time ( if I can play well enough - highly unlikely) as I now play the computer team last in the cycle of 15......
