A must win game for both sides this evening and Wan-Bissaka is unavailable through illness!!! Aaaaaaargh!!!

Team is as follows:

De Gea

Young Lindelof Maguire Tuanzebe

Pogba McTominay

Pereira Lingard James

Rashford

So we've got Greenwood back on the bench. I would have started Greenwood and had Rashford on the bench tbh.

Well I'm not complaining if we win lol

A crazy good finish from McTominay puts us 1-0 up just before halftime  8)

A pretty even first half but we go in ahead.

If we do end up winning this game it's just papering over the cracks. You're right, our football just isn't good enough so far.

I really can't understand why Ollie switched from the 4-3-3 with a number 6 formation that got us plenty of goals last season before everyone ran out of puff to playing 4-3-3 with a number 10.

1-1 final score and another bad performance. Should have put Greenwood on after 60 minutes I think.

We'll be fighting bloody relegation soon the way we're going lol ;D

Oops, I put the United team news in the wrong thread lol

Another poor performance from United so far with 33 minutes gone. We've only had one attempt on goal so far.  :'(

0-0 at halftime and Newcastle have been the better side so far. Terrible performance from us.  >:(

So that's now Dalot, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Lindelof, Jones, Wan-Bissaka, Pogba, Lingard and Martial all injured. :o

Greenwood on for Mata. Not soon enough, he should have made that change 10 minutes ago.

Not to keep banging on but this has got to be the worst United team I have seen in my 30 year memory. So mediocre. Mid table team at best.

The problem is that Moyes, van Gaal and Maureen changed us from a Premiership challenging side into a cup challenging side. It's going to take some major transfers to change things around, as well as a few years.

Will Ollie get the time? I'm not sure, he might be gone at the end of the season.

Without Pogba we don't have enough creativity or enough of a goalscoring threat from midfield. I'd be tempted to bung in Garner in place of Fred if Pogba still isn't fit for the next game.
