  Friendly League Season 102. should start in a couple of days.

  Can you become the Champion in FL1. Voted by the Managers as the most prestigious competition to win?

   Good luck to all Teams and I hope you enjoy Friendly League 102.

   Plase note that the FL CUP will be starting early again this season so that it can be played every seven days. So look out
  for the password and don't forget, it is free. I will try to send the passwords out at a different time to last season so that
  Teams who missed out in FLCUP 101. have a chance of gaining a place in this seasons FLCUP.
   
 

 

AND NOW FOR THE NEWS THAT YOU ALL HAVE PROBERLY NOT BEEN WAITNG FOR.

 i have been taking note of these Managers who have decided to give the game a rest for a while. This has lead me to think about my position with the game as I have not been happy with it for quite a number of seasons now. In fact, it was only Ag who persuaded me a couple of times to keep going with the game. I have now been looking after the Friendy League for over 50 seasons, over more than four years without a break except for odd days during the Christmas breaks, even though I have asked at the end of every season for players to join etc before they take a break. This has not happened, usually with the same players every seaon having to be constantly reminded. Therfore I have decided that this season will be my last, I am taking a break. I will only start this season and also the Friendly League CUP then I will stand back from the FL. I will not be doing any reports so if anyone would like to do them, help yourselves. You will also have to find someone new to take over the FL. I was going to move all my teams down the leagues on the first day of this season but the game has been in such a state since Christmas that I was afraid I would lose some of them so left them where they are.

That is the absolute worst news possible. We can't lose you Brian. I sincerely hope that the break revives you and you come back happy and raring to go!

That is very sad news Brian   But I can fully understand the decision.

The work you have put in has almost single handedly kept SL alive for many years, And I'm sure you have the full respect of everyone here for doing so. 
I too hope you come back as soon as possible refreshed to take control again

We should now take turns running FL and when Brian returns he should just play the game as he has more than earned his stripes.

Fantastic effort Brian, shame to see another one of the managers that has put so much hard work into keeping this game enjoyable, entertaining and competitive take a break but eventually we all fall out of love with the game and need time away to try and rediscover it!

I’m quite happy to help out anyone who wants to be a part of keeping the FL going but it’s not something I can do on my own due to lack of time

Sad news to hear indeed. Props to you Brian for doing a top job running the FL for so long. Safe to say you have earned a break!

This is terrible news for the game.

Fully understand your decision Bri, the game is not what it once was.
Unfortunately this is due to the lack of ambition shown by the owner.

The only reason the game has still had a little something is because of the efforts from the likes of you, Kush, Deca, Cove and Borg (I hope I haven’t forgot anyone)
It has clearly run you all into the ground with no reward or support from the one above!

We all really appreciate the hard work you and the others have put into the game because without you lot we wouldn’t be on here.

Take a nice break mate and most importantly stay safe!

I know it's been quiet here, just going to comment on my own relegation battle in FL2 with Surreal Madrid, we both seem to have found a bit of form at the right time.

We meet on Friday in a game that might decide who stays up. Good luck.

Well done Floriana, a great achievement again.

Well done to all who took part. I had my own FL2 relegation battle to win which went to the very last game. Commiserations to Surreal Madrid, I thought both of us were too good to go down, we were both on a great run over the last 6 or 7 games. Maybe next season we can both start that run earlier in the season
