By the way Steven, how did you exceed the 20 letter limit for your team name?

Drama in Conference 2 this morning as The FanClub manager woke up late for his 2nd job and had to rush about and was still licking his wounds at suffering a late goal from league leaders 'The Pink', he is vowing to set his alarm clock in the morning though.

I dont know about the team name exceeding letter limit, I just set it up.

Day5 Results

Fri, 6 Apr 2012   Steel City Blades   0 - 2    Forever Blowing Bubbles
  Fri, 6 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   2 - 0    Spartak
Fri, 6 Apr 2012   FC Town of Luton   2 - 0    Rocket Rangers
  Fri, 6 Apr 2012   Cubana Villains   1 - 1    Tottenham Hotspur
  Fri, 6 Apr 2012   HaDoKeN F.C   1 - 2    HH Beticos
  Fri, 6 Apr 2012   Bayern Arse   4 - 0    White hart lane
  Fri, 6 Apr 2012   Tipton Tornadoes   3 - 0    Touchnplay
Fri, 6 Apr 2012   The Pink Charlottes   2 - 1    Didier Drogba Fan Club

The defending champ suffered another home defeat owing mainly to the fact he has to replace his main players, hopefully the punters at FredsBet didnt take the 5/2 at the start of the season. The Romanian stayed on course with a comfortable 2-0 win as did FC Luton who warmed up nicely for his tussle with the FanClub with a 2-0 win over The Rocket. The Cuban had to settle for a home draw, could that prove costly later in the season, The Captain lost at home to the unfancied Beticos. Early league leaders returned to form with a comfortable win over The Lane. The Tornadoes stayed on course for top8 with a easy win over The Touch and league leaders The Pink were lucky with a late goal over TheFanClub to remain on top.

Sat, 7 Apr 2012   FC Town of Luton   2 - 1    Didier Drogba Fan Club

  Sat, 7 Apr 2012   Tipton Tornadoes   1 - 0    Tottenham Hotspur
  Sat, 7 Apr 2012   The Pink Charlottes   1 - 0    HH Beticos

Day6 and there was no shocks but plenty of controversy, The Blades recorded a comfortable win against The Lane, The Romanians showed their class in a demolition of The Touch. FC Luton stayed in contact after ref Brian Blinker awarded what looked like a dodgy penalty against an unfortunate FanClub. The Villains had no problerm dispatching The Bubbles. The Captain proved too much for Spartak in a smash and grab raid. Bayern stay 2nd but despite dominating against the winless Rocket only won by the odd goal. Tipton recorded a narrow win over Tottenham and league leaders The Pink continued their impressive start to the season by beating Beticos.

Day7 Fixtures

Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Steel City Blades   vs    Tipton Tornadoes
Mon, 9 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   vs    The Pink Charlottes
Mon, 9 Apr 2012   FC Town of Luton   vs    HaDoKeN F.C

Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Rocket Rangers   vs    Forever Blowing Bubbles
Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Tottenham Hotspur   vs    White hart lane
Mon, 9 Apr 2012   HH Beticos   vs    Touchnplay

Day 7 brings up some big fixtures which will go a long way to defining how the season will pan out. The Blades host Tipton and will be looking to avoid another slip up, The MOTD sees The Romanian hosting league leaders The Pink, can The Pink pull off another impressive result. FC Luton and The Captain square up, if theres a loser they can kiss goodbye to any chances of the title and mid table may be the best they can muster. The Cuban invites Bayern, another big game where surely Bayern will be hoping to avoid defeat to consolidate top4. Spartak and TheFanClub meet and both know defeat will mean a very long season and a top8 finish looking unlikely. Bottom side TheRocket meets the Bubbles and a win here will mean so much to both sides in their bid to remain in the division. Tottenham meets TheLane and surely a win here will go a long way to ensuring Tottenham arent looking over their shoulder this season. Beticos meets TheTouch and quite simply both need the points to fight off relegation thoughts.

Congratulations to both TheBlades and TheTouch in progressing to Round2 of The Elite Cup.

Manager Challenge Cup, Week Two
Chiiiiii vs Brads
------------------------------------------------

Official Beer Cup Round 1:   Sun, 8 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   1 - 0    Steel City Blades
Official SnakeBite Cup Round 1:   Mon, 9 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   1 - 0    Steel City Blades

------------------------------------------------

+/-PosTeam NamePldWDLFAPts
12200206
22002020

------------------------------------------------

Chiiiiii starts off the competition in good fashion with two wins right off the bat with UNIV. CRAIOVA in two official gold cups: the Beer Cup and the SnakeBite Cup.
But Brads doesn't have to wait long for a chance for revenge with two consecutive weeks right around the corner. Week three is scheduled for tomorrow when Colour City hosts Steel City Blades in the Smokey Doubles competition, and week four awaits on Wednesday in the Champions League again between the two teams in focus, Steel City Blades and Colour City.
Will Brads be able to even out the score, or will Chiiiiii be able to create an even larger gap between the two managers?

Doubles 19 - League A:   Tue, 10 Apr 2012   Colour City   vs    Steel City Blades

Been gutted with my last 2 results been comprehensively beaten would have loved to have been able to to play a long ball game against chi but 2 of my strikers went awol and was always going to lose playing 4-5-1 use wings. Got a chance of picking up something tonight if the tactics are right... fingers crossed. I'm dreading the possibility of not winning a game all season !

Day7 Results

Tight at The Top

  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Steel City Blades   3 - 0    Tipton Tornadoes
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   1 - 1    The Pink Charlottes
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   FC Town of Luton   1 - 0    HaDoKeN F.C
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Cubana Villains   1 - 1    Bayern Arse
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Spartak   1 - 1    Didier Drogba Fan Club
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Rocket Rangers   0 - 3    Forever Blowing Bubbles
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   Tottenham Hotspur   3 - 0    White hart lane
  Mon, 9 Apr 2012   HH Beticos   0 - 1    Touchnplay

Defending champ TheBlade put his disappointing weekend behind him as normal service was resumed with an easy win against mid table Tipton, The Romanian was unable to beat league leaders The Pink, are The Pink now serious contenders. FC Luton had a great result considering other results from those in contention as again The Captain stuttered. The Cuban was unable to get the better of Bayern who has returned to form this season. The FanClub took the lead against Spartak but discipline problem returned and a draw had to be settled with. The Bubbles and Tottenham both had good wins against two struggling sides who are yet to win in The Rocket and The Lane. The Touch finally recorded a win against Beticos which was a good result.

Day8 Fixtures

Tue, 10 Apr 2012   Steel City Blades   vs    HH Beticos
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   vs    White hart lane
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   FC Town of Luton   vs    Touchnplay
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   Cubana Villains   vs    Didier Drogba Fan Club
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   HaDoKeN F.C   vs    Forever Blowing Bubbles
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   Bayern Arse   vs    Spartak
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   Tipton Tornadoes   vs    Rocket Rangers
Tue, 10 Apr 2012   The Pink Charlottes   vs    Tottenham Hotspur

Tonites game look straight forward for the top teams but will any of these teams show complacency. TheBlade plays Beticos, will the Beticos show up or will this be another comfortable win. The Romanian will be looking for goals against an out of sorts TheLane. FC Luton plays a rejuvinated TheTouch which may be tricky, Luton must win if he wants to stay in contact with the leaders. The Cuban hosts TheFanClub and will be looking to return to winning ways but can TheFanClub cause an upset. TheCaptain needs the win if he wants to lose the midtable tag against TheBubbles. Bayern entertain Spartak and must fancy his chances. Tipton will be looking to bounce back against bottom side TheRocket and league leaders ThePink will hope to maintain top position against the difficult Tottenham.

A win tonight and I could be out of the relegation zone... although I'm sure Martin's going to have other ideas should be a good game
