Coral are doing a special one Sprinter Sacre, it's Evens for a maximum of £20 (so a maximum stake of £10).

And there's nowt wrong with Bonus Bagging, it's free money 8)

Nice one!  On it like a car bonnet!  8)  its actually a maximum stake of £20 - which I put on.. Sprinter Sacre (if he doesnt fall) should easily romp home victorious.

Bugger, Pont Alexandre was crap.. and Taquin Du Seuil came nowhere... not a good 2nd race for me, still if Sprinter Sacre wins Im in profit for the day and I cant see anything beating him.

Easy!!  It was a dead cert.. bloody live ch4 feed cut out just as he had overtaken Sizing Europe.. and took a minute to get back to see him cross the line as winner  ;D

£2.75 in profit for the day whatever happens later... some of these Each Wayers need to bloody come in now.

Edit : Think Coral website has gone down, certainly I cant log in at the moment...  :o

Edit Edit : Still cant log-in to Coral, they are having massive problems by the look of it... Master Of The Sea and The Liquidator both placed though - so made £12.50 profit today.. would of just been better backing Sprinter Sacre only but never mind.. got a couple of quid left on Malaga to draw with Porto tonight - so hopefully that will bump it up a bit more... looking forward to Thursday and Friday - turned about £90 profit over the last two days now :)

Done my bets for day 3 - not feeling too confident today for some reason... but i've opened up a betfred account and stuck a score on the nose on Dynaste in the first race... will get a free bet back to the same tune win or lose.. but like yesterday its a pretty open field in all races today.  Paddy Power are doing money back on every race if the SP favourite wins so I've picked EW bets on the other races through them.

Fingers crossed mainly for Dynaste but also Ballynagour and First Lietuenant.

Bollocks... thought when Dynaste went in front at the 3rd last it would go on to win, but Benefficient stormed back and won easily - bastard!! LOL... my EW bet on Captain Conan was bloody 3rd and fell to 5th right at the end too meaning no place >:(

Have to hope some of my EW bets come in to stem the loss now  :-\

Edit : Oooh bollocks not having much luck so far today - had 2 horses finish one out of the places now.. really need Ballynagour to come in later on and one of the 3 Each Wayers I have left to win to break even now - bloody Dynaste  >:(  Least I have a £20 free bet for tomorrows Gold Cup for a bit of redemption.

Ended up about £30 loss yesterday  :o Did have a 20/1 and a 12/1 come in 2nd.. and Dynaste really screwed me over - but I was close to a fairly good day... but close isnt good enough.  Hopefully today brings better fortunes... gone for Silviniaco Conti in the gold cup today using my £20 free bet from betfred.

Bobs Worth wins the gold cup, great run and comeback from him.. thought he was long gone at the third from last.. then bloody Silviniaco Conti who was in a great position fell (horse and jockey ok thankfully) and then Bobs Worth just rocketed up the field and stormed past the leaders.. he was the favourite.. thought Silviniaco Conti would of given him a good challenge for first if he hadnt fell...

Ah well, I had Rolling Star (finished nowhere) and African Gold (2nd) earlier on, which pretty much evened themeselves out in terms of profit/loss.

Made about £50 in profit over the 4 days.. which isnt too bad I suppose.. still annoyed at the Dynaste result.. but then you cant win them all - looking forward to the National in a few weeks.. won jack shit on that for the past couple of years now.. definitely time for a change of luck.

Any tips for the Grand National (other than "don't bet - it's a mugs game!")?

I'll probably be putting two quid each on four horses chosen by me, the wife, and the kids - but we just go for names or colours we like, as none of us knows anything about horse racing.
(Usually go £2 on the nose if it's under about 20/1 and £1 e/w over about 20/1)

Can't be arsed with all those offers of free bets if you open internet accounts. I'm a compulsive sort, and don't want to run the risk of becoming an addict by making betting easier. I prefer to stop off at the bookies two or three times a year on the way to do the "big shop" on a Saturday.
Pretend I have a cool signature thing here.
I did, but the host site died and I can't be arsed to find an alternative right now...

You'll have as much luck going for a name or colours you like as someone that knows anything about racing. The Grand National is a lottery, always has been and always will be.
