I didn't realise at first that the Triple Threat, which ordinarily launches three bombs at a time in a horizontal line, can launch three in a vertical line if you hold the aim button. I found it a great weapon once I'd cottoned it was more versatile than I'd initially realised.

I love the Electric Smoke titan power. It's good for the occasional pilot kill. It's better for getting people to jump off your titan (whilst dashing backwards and shooting them). But it's great when fighting other titans - and they don't really mention that in the tutorial.
Causes lots of damage to titans, but also allows you to dash away from them (preferably diagonally backwards) so you can reload and open up on them while they're blinded, and hopefully your shields recharge before they figure out where you are, but theirs are still damaged thanks to a combination of the smoke and any ordinance you're sent their way while you're backing away.

Haven't tried using cluster missiles to remove pilots - though I did see it as a loading screen tip.
So you stand next to a wall, fire your secondary weapon, and do a quick 180 so the explosions are at your back?

Generation 7
EXP Modifier: x 2.1
Requirements to Next Level:
If It Moves... (G2A4) Tiers: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200
Top Gun (G2A4) Tiers: 5, 15, 30, 50, 75
If It Moves... (XO-16) Tiers: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200
Titan Killer (XO-16) Tiers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50
Titan Killer (Charge Rifle) Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
Fresh Squeezed (Pilot Melee Kills) Tiers: 1, 5, 10, 15, 25
The chaingun challenges should be easy enough. Melee 25 with Strider might be a slight problem.. I don't have much experience with the G2A4.
Remember to keep Burn Cards for CAR SMG and Archer HR.

Generation 8
EXP Modifier: x 2.5
Requirements to Next Level:
All I Do Is Win (General) Tiers: 10, 30, 50, 70, 100
Look Out Below! (Kills) Tiers: 1, 5, 15, 30, 50
Executioner (Melee Kills) Tiers: 1, 5, 10, 15, 25
Critically Conditioned 40mm Cannon (Titan Weapons) Tiers: 5, 15, 30, 50, 75
If It Moves... (C.A.R. SMG) Tiers: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200
Top Gun (C.A.R. SMG) Tiers: 5, 15, 30, 50, 75
Titan Killer (Archer Heavy Rocket) Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
That 2.5 xp modifier is almost completely useless. You'll be at level fifty way before you get close to a hundred wins, fifty titanfall crushes, or 25 Executioner moves. CAR should be easy enough, as should the Archer. I've not used the 40mm cannon much but 75 critical hits sounds perfectly doable. (The only good thing about the xp modifier is you'll unlock the weapons you need a little bit faster.)
Remember to keep Burn Cards for Cloak, Nuclear Ejection, Smart Pistol, Hemlock, and Kraber. The next regeneration is going to be a long haul...

Yeah exactly, the best thing is that the pilots never see it coming and are dead within seconds.. it does do a lot of damage to your own titan though, so its best used when you have a full shield and not getting attacked by anyone else - but its very handy in pilot hunter where pilot kills are the most important and also LTS where you actually remove the pilot from the rest of the game.  Its also handy if you are waiting for electric smoke to recharge and get rodeo'ed in the mean time and you cant be arsed to get out of your titan.

I find cluster missile to be the best titan ordinance at long and short range combat by far - one good hit and you can pretty much take down an entire titan.  Its also good at destroying particle walls, and I've found it still manages to damage titans stood just behind the wall who think they are safe.

Am looking forward to Gen7.. not so much Gen6 and Gen8 seems long for no reason but a good chance to go for some missing achievements.

Just a couple of levels away from unlocking the spitfire now... completed the MAG challenge - thank god it was only 10.  Unlocked triple threat.. and I've actually decided I don't like it because its fairly limited to short range combat... but its more tolerable than the plasma railgun and the arc cannon and its good for flushing out enemies in CTF who just sit in their base.  Done about 5 brain surgeons now - all auto-titans - its gonna take forever that one

Don't know why but I couldn't buy a win last night.. was playing CTF for quite a while and I was ending up with like 20-30 kills every game - my K/D ratio was averaging at least 2.0 each game - but we weren't winning.. team sizes were the same.. its just my team were shite - I wasn't sure if I should change games as I was getting tons of xp/kills per game.. but not winning anything  :-\

Must get a late night session going again soon.. should have a free night next week when the missus goes out, so I'll let you know  ;)

Got quite a bit of stuff going on, so I'm not on as much as usual, but always up for a few games if we're playing at the same time.

Squishing one titan is good.
But two at once is better... ;)

lol bit hard to figure out what was going on in your one though, I didn't know it was even possible to squash two at the same time!.. mine was especially nice because a) he had only just got in his titan and b) he was the best player on their team by a long shot

Yeah, I probably trimmed it a bit too much. I was rodeoing one titan and your titan timer flies along really fast when you're doing that - and under such circumstances I like to look straight down and call mine in, so it lands on the titan I'm riding. On that occasion another enemy titan just happened to be walking past, and I guess it was already doomed or close to being doomed; but when I saw what had happened I said "xbox record that" for only the second time.

The first was when our lass was having a go on the fitness thing, and her timing was hilariously off. Gave the record command just for lols, but deleted it straight after. Not even sure if it recorded her, or just the stuff that was onscreen.

You'll find that once you unlock the slammer mod for the LMG the challenges become a lot easier.. although Brain Surgeon will still take the longest because 50 rodeo kills is a lot... if you are doing an auto-titan you need to doom and make them explode fully to get the challenge point otherwise its until the enemy ejects or explodes (as long as you get the doomed shot).

I hit gen7 over the weekend, and I like it.. can see this one being quick.. the G2AK rifle is a bit pants but CTF is great for getting kills on (even with shit weapons).. 20 Charge Rifle kills will probably be the last one to unlock but I'll probably do that in LTS.

I hit a funny bug the other day in Titanfall where after I finished a game, whenever I went to my burn cards, the screen was flickering really bad.. every other screen looked normal so I carried on, but the flickering started happening as soon as the next game started.. I carried on the game as the team I was playing were pretty crap.. but it was pretty impossible to see or do anything.. I still managed to bag the win, and capture a flag LOL.. just to show you how badly impeded I was -> Link

I switched to the LMG last generation, to get used to it, and found it to be not too bad in the end - other than that horrible kick for the first few shots. Thanks to using that gun last gen, I started this gen with eight amped spitfire burn-cards, which meant I was able to make a bit of a start on the challenge before the gun would ordinarily be available to me. ;)

Still not getting on the console as much as I would ordinarily, so I might be lagging a generation or two behind for a while.

lol @ getting 8 kills and 4 deaths while suffering that graphical glitch!

I was right, Gen7 was very quick!!  In fact I finished it by lvl46.  They all took about the same amount of time to complete except the G2A4 kills which I finished way before anything else.

So onto Gen8 now and I'll be on this one for ages don't worry.  100 wins is going to take so long (am on 12 at the moment), but the Titanfall crushes are an absolute swine!  I've got a fair few already.. but you really do have to think about what you are doing on that challenge, cant just be calling your titan in willy-nilly.. and 50 is a bloody LOT!  I was trying the rodeo trick (looking down on the floor) and I'd jump off to see my titan land either next to it or no-where near it.  Its easier not to bother with the rodeo and just look for auto-titans in guard mode.

I'm not a massive fan of the 40mm cannon either, but the critical hits are going fairly fast (am on the last leg of that challenge already) as soon as I can get back to the chain-gun the better.  Finished the archer challenge really quickly though.  Half way through the CAR challenges, but only 10 melee kills in an atlas.. seemed to be playing a lot of n00bs last night with auto-eject and nuclear blast on  ::)

Completed my 50 wins on CTF.. about 3 away from Pilot Hunter.. that will be most of the achievements done by then.  Still need the gooser (with the plasma), kill everyone in epilogue and unlock all gear.. unsure if I can be arsed going for them until I hit gen10.. and I could well be fed up with the game at that point.

Congrats :D
I'll probably do the "unlock all gear" one when I get to tenth gen, and might have a look at winning some of the other modes, but I'm not fussed about the other challenges. You could play a million games and not get the "kill everyone in the epilogue" challenge. It's largely down to luck (or organising it with about a dozen friends). The Plasma Gun Gooser one would surely be an absolute tw*t to get, too.

Still slowly working my way through Gen 6. I've now unlocked the Spitfire and the Triple Threat, so can properly start on the challenges. Am playing pretty well and encountering very few problems - but only getting time for a handful of games each night.

Yeah don't worry, I wont be playing much over the next week or so.. so you'll have the chance to catch me up... will probably be able to get a few hours in on Friday and Sunday but other than that, bit of a busy week coming up!  I want to hit Gen10 before Wolfenstein drops though.
