My K/D ratio is always atrocious in these sorts of games because I play them like Leeeerrrooooooy Jennnnnkiiinnnnsssss!!! Lmfao.

Really pisses off people in TDM lmfao ;D ;D ;D

Cover is for wimps lololol :o ;D :P

A bit pointless behaving like a wuss if you're playing as the obligatory big Space Marine type lol

Yep I think hardpoint/attrition will be the games of choice for sniping.. I hate snipers and I especially hate people who camp with snipers.. bit annoying that its the only way to rack up kills quickly.. as soon as I'm done with the sniper the better.. should unlock it tonight...I think its lvl9 before its available.. but I take it, its 50 kills.

The charge rifle is my preferred anti-titan weapon though because it has the longest range, but more importantly its the most powerful weapon too.. you can doom a titan with one hit if they have no shields and low health and therefore the whole light giveaway thing is a bit of a non-starter given that you can quickly scurry away.  I've killed numerous pilots with it too lol.. that's always fun.

Think I'm on about 7 ejector kills.. did 3 of them in gen3 whilst I was using the plasma rifle, although I guess the actual kill was not with the plasma rifle as I never unlocked that achievement.. fire a cluster missile at the head just before they eject maybe ??  Don't know I haven't looked for the best technique to the gooser challenge really.

Yeah I'm not paying for 3 maps.. even if it is standard fare for map packs these days.. there's already enough maps imo...I am looking forward to these rift game-types though.

Mag Launcher is definitely my favourite weapon for taking down Titans. The charge rifle's good if you can get into a good position, though. I killed loads of titans with one last night playing Nexus. I think it was Nexus - I'm not sure about all the map names yet. Whatever the level, it has three very high towers near Hardpoint C, so I camped up there with my charge rifle killing titans and not playing the objective at all. I hate to be that guy, but I needed to do the challenge.
Didn't help me much, though. I killed about 8 titans in the match then discovered I hadn't got a single critical hit in the full match. Frustrating.

I read a while back that the arc cannon thing is best for the Gooser challenge. Shoot the titan in the head just as it's about to explode, and hopefully the lightning will arc to the pilot as he's ejecting.
Not sure if that works - will investigate if I find I'm struggling with the challenge in a couple of days' time. Conveniently I'll be using the Arc Cannon anyway - as you need X amount of kills with it for regeneration.

Charge rifle is tricky. The others are all pretty easy.

Titan Killer (Sidewinder) Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
Gooser (Mobility Kills) Tiers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Carbine will be a piece of cake, as will the Sidewinder. Fingers crossed for the arc cannon & gooser - I don't have much experience with that weapon.

Generation 6
EXP Modifier: x 1.8
Requirements to Next Level:
If It Moves... (Spitfire LMG) Tiers: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200

If It Moves... (Triple Threat) Tiers: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200
Titan Killer (Triple Threat) Tiers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50
Titan Killer (Mag Launcher) Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
Brain Surgeon (Mobility Kills) Tiers: 1, 5, 15, 30, 50

Triple threat, Mag Launcher, and Brain Surgeon should all be very easy. Not looking forward to extended use of the LMG, but it probably won't be all that bad.

Well I can put up with the pistol.. its not that bad thanks to being a semi-automatic - but the sniper rifle is just horrible.. first couple of games I was getting around 2-3 kills per game.. I just hate using it.. I never pick snipers in FPS games.. in fact, I think they should be banned.. it disgusts me that I have to kill 50 pilots using it.. think I am on around 15 kills after about 3 hours.  I've levelled up so slowly this gen because of having to use that combo.

Most games I'm just getting out of the way of everyone first.. if I can get zero deaths then my K/D ratio wont take so much of a hammering.  I think I'll stick to hardpoint from now on - I seemed to do much better on that than attrition.

Edit:
Just 15 more sniper kills to go - the end is in sight... absolutely hate it still.. there are plenty of games I go without getting a single sniper kill.. I hate not being involved in the middle of the action...  Pretty much finished all the other challenges although I've only just unlocked the charge rifle - so that's still on zero.. think I'll go back to LTS after I finish the sniper kills.  I actually won a few CTF games the other night too.. wooo!!!!

Level 43 now - all challenges done.. it feels like its taken ages this gen.. the charge rifle/pistol/titan were the easy ones.. the sniper rifle just took forever to get the kills... as soon as I reverted back to a normal weapon, it did take a few games to get back into the swing of things.

So I'm finishing up by playing LTS... I feel like I've played this game-mode so many times, yet I still only have 20 wins on it  :-\  I was doing the charge rifle missions in one game, we were losing 3-1 (I had zero kills but quite a few assists), so instead of getting out of the titan at the start, I decided to use it to try and save the win, I knocked up 9 kills, 5 pilot kills and around 9 assists in the 3 proceeding games which we all won.  Some dude sent me a message saying What a comeback  ;D  I must of looked a complete n00b to most people.

Not as much as someone else on our team.. OK they were obviously doing the charge rifle mission like me (you would hope), but they had nuclear ejection on their titan.. and kept setting it off at the game start (I didn't even know you could do this).. so we were always one titan down.. I don't mind people leaving their titans on auto-titan and using the anti-titan weapons to pick the opponents off.. but to actually destroy your own titan at the start.. what a dick.

lol. That's annoying. I guess he didn't know you can press x to just get out of your titan. (In a similar way to you not knowing you can press up on the d-pad to prematurely nuclear eject. ;) )

I think I'm at a similar level to you (around level 43 - one gen higher, ofc).
The Carbine challenges were all done a while back. I'm now dicking around with other weapons fairly randomly.
The Arc Cannon ones are progressing, and I shouldn't be too far off the mark when I get to level 50 - I'll be over three quarters of the way though them. The Sidewinder is about the same as the Arc Cannon - I'm about halfway now so should be able to polish that off pretty easily.
But the gooser... well I've not got a single one yet, this gen, even though I'm making more of a conscious effort to look for them than I would ordinarily.
So the Arc Cannon's not doing it for me. Might try a combination of rodeo and smart pistol. Hopefully the smart pistol will help if the target and I are both flying through the air from his doomed titan. I'm not very good with that weapon, though. Too impatient - I always fire before getting a proper lock.
Failing that, the best option looks to be to equip your titan with a chain gun and keep your eyes on the skies just as an enemy titan is about to be doomed. I'm not keen to try that just yet, though, as I need to keep the Arc Cannon equipped for now.

I think he was using the nuclear eject to get to high places.. yet everywhere he went was achievable by doing a bit of jumping and wallrunning and to be honest, the high places that stick out are never that good in LTS anyway... its all about getting in on the action when two titans are fighting it out.  I cant believe he didn't know you can press X to get out of your titan.. you do it in the tutorial - he was just a n00b.

Probably wont get too much time over Easter to play too much but I'll be gen 5 by next week that's for sure and sounds like I could be catching you up shortly then with the old gooser challenge stopping your progress ;D :P

You could well be right!
I'll probably be level 50 tomorrow, but might not progress to Gen 6 for a few weeks  >:( ;D

Getting there, slowly but surely. Gooser 3/5 done...
Still need a load of kills with the Arc Cannon, too, but that can wait. Currently using the 40 cal instead (my weapon of choice for gooser)

Gen5, Level 48 - all challenges done...

except gooser.. 0/5 lol.. although to be fair, I've only actually played about 3 or so games going for it.. it took ages to get the arc cannon titan kills done.. that weapon is about as bad as the plasma railgun.

I'm going with the chaingun for the gooser.. seems easier to me.. in those 3 games, I had a few good opportunities, but it is really hard when the pilot cloaks themselves.  Only been playing LTS for these.. I'm on about 40 wins for that gametype now.

Ahh the gooser challenge wasn't that tough... took me about 7 LTS games last night to get my 5 with the chaingun, in fact I got 2 in one game - and I was pretty close to actually getting 4 in that game really.  Best tactic - is to make sure you've got the right opponents!

So up to level 6 now - back to CTF and Pilot Hunter - this is another annoying gen as all the weapons you need don't get unlocked till half way through the gen.. the only one I could start on was the Brain Surgeon.. which is going to be a bloody nightmare because successfully killing a titan via a rodeo is actually not that easy and not something I do as a tactic anymore.. plus you actually have to kill the titan until the pilot ejects or the titan explodes - just dooming the titan doesn't count.

'grats on the regeneration, mate. I'm at level 50 but haven't progressed since last week - still on 3/5 for gooser and around 32/50 for Titan kills with the Arc Cannon.
Must try to keep some Spitfire and Mag Launcher burn cards for after my prestige.

Yeah, the LMG spitfire is absolutely shite.. and I'm not a fan of the Mag Launcher (worst anti-titan weapon IMO).. I think this challenge is gonna be my worst one by far.

I'm happy enough with the Mag Launcher and the Brain Surgeon challenges.
The Mag Launcher is my favourite anti-titan weapon, but I don't use ti much because I'm usually struggling with one of the others to pass a challenge.
But rodeoing them and blowing their "brains" out is definitely my favourite way of killing titans. Even if they're manned, and have electric smoke, it's still the easiest way to take them down. Climb on, hop off and cloak if the pilot dismounts of if they use smoke, and get back on a few seconds later. And if they're on Auto then it's almost completely hazard-free.
I've been known to rodeo and use anti-titan weapons on occasion, to get the challenges. Can be dangerous if it's a weapon with any degree of splash damage, but even then you can climb on, wipe out 95% of it's health with your main weapon, then finish it off with a shot or two from the anti-titan for a nice easy kill.

Hate the Spitfire, though - but I imagine it gets easier to use after a while.

TBH I quite like these challenges. By getting me to use weapons/equipment/tactics I wouldn't ordinarily use it's extending the lifespan as well as making me a better or more rounded player.

I always choose Electric Smoke on my titan because I hate when people rodeo... even now you rarely get a kill with Electric smoke because people just jump off straight away - but it gives you chance to get some distance between yourself and the pilot.  If you do have to get out of your titan and they jump off too, I find a satchel charge is great because of its blast radius - but I usually carry arc grenades myself.

..But I've discovered a good way to kill anyone rodeoing is to fire a cluster missile at a wall and put your back to it.. the pilot wont get the instant signal that electric smoke gives.. and I've had a 100% kill rate doing it so far (3 outta 3).. the only downside is that the cluster missile does fuck your titan up, so its not recommended if you have low shields.

Also pressing the duck button in a titan sometimes fools the rodeoer into thinking you are getting out and they jump off - that's always fun.

I'm quite happy to experiment with the Triple Threat in this gen.. I haven't really used it much, but I played a few LTS games with some good players last night and the one that gave me the most trouble was someone using triple threat.
