Had a bit of a ruff ride last night but scraped the win, already turning out to be a very interesting league 3 points separate 4th-11th and with pretty much everyone capable of taking points of each other I reckon it will stay close as well.

Will be interesting to see if Mr C can keep up the pace with Lucy and Dave as well turn it into a 3 way title race as well!

Not sure when those 2 meet eachother but will be great if that ended up a draw.
Ocean City Orioles - C1
Arsenals Invincibles  - C4
London Heat Colts - C6
The Wizard of Ozil - C7

Conference 3 First Round Results

Touchnplay 1 - 0 Ocean City Reserves
Lucys Tigers 3 - 0 Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs
Poachers FC 1 - 3 Lone Rangers
Hoarse Whisperers 0 - 1 Rathpeacon
The Rumour Mill 5 - 0 FC Schwifty
Clayton Royals 4 - 1 Ruff Ryders
RKS City 1 - 2 The Rhubarb Triangle
Dynamo St Jude 0 - 6 Thanet United

First round of the Conference 3 cup and it didn't fail to disappoint! In the headline game featuring the top 2 in the division saw Lucy's Tigers eat Dave's Pigs for lunch in a resounding 3-0 victory which firmly establishes her as the favourite for the trophy.

There were two shocks as Lone Rangers & Rathpeacon won away 3-1 and 1-0 respectively against Poachers FC & Hoarse Whisperers who both finished in the top five of last years 3-1-1. Just goes to show that these two champions of their divisions are not here to make up the numbers and are looking to go far in this competition.

Touchnplay hosted Ocean City Reserves in a tough fixture with the away side the favourites after their strong start to 3-1-1 but a second half strike helped the hosts scrape a 1-0 win while Ocean City struggled to pass through the mud.

Dave's FC Schwifty have had a great start to the season and lie 6th one place ahead of opponents The Rumour Mill, however you wouldn't know that on this result as The Mill smashed 5 in without reply to send Dave's boys swiftly out of this seasons cup.

Turner's Ruff Ryders could count themselves a little unfortunate in their previous league fixture, but in today's game they faced the experience Clayton Royals who took full advantage against Turner's growing team to progress as 4-1 winners.

The Rhubarb Triangle have been flying in 3-1-2 this season with 5 wins from 5 and they took this league form into the cup beating conference 6's RKS City 2-1 away from home. This will surely give the Triangle confidence moving forward in their league campaign.

Dynamo St Jude have had a baptism of fire in 3-1-1 and are the only champions from last season to fail to progress to the next round being comfortably defeated 6-0 by Thanet United.

Conference 3 Cup 2nd Round Draw

Thanet United vs The Rumour Mill
Clayton Royals vs Lucys Tigers
Lone Rangers vs The Rhubarb Triangle
Touchnplay vs Rathpeacon

2nd round ties some more interesting draws - should be fun preview to come next week

No complaints for the cup game, 30 v 30. Could've gone either way and you got the rub of the green on this one!

Nice to have a "simple" game in the league for once tonight, the big games were cropping up every day!

Forgot to put nice rest on for the afternoon games and it's had a big impact on some of my players, not good, especially with another tough away game at Thanet tonight. Can't see myself getting anything from this one unfortunately!

Yeah I think the home advantage swung it for me in the end, I'm sure you'll get revenge in the league

Exactly my thoughts :)
The only player I have no proper cover for gets a 12 week injury and my Left Mid goes AWOL so played today with 2 OOP 5-4-1
Only the one and only Hoarses

I want to fast forward ;D

My tactics are ok but my team stats are still way too far to cause damage. As soon as I have tactical disadvantage I get a goal against, I have even gotten goals against when I have the advantage in tactics which really hurts.

I will keep setting up to the best of my ability though,  no gifts!  ;D

Mixed start for our boys in the UCB. Glad I was able to put my poor league start behind me with a big win!

Good luck all C3'ers in the Elite Cup tonight. Let's get one of us in that final.

Conference 3 - Match day 7 Preview

Lucys Tigers vs Hoarse Whisperers
The Tigers host Nijinsky's Hoarse Whisperers tonight in a battle of the long serving 3-1-1 managers. Hoarse are going through a rebuilding stage and occupy the last ICC spot in the division. Lucy's Tigers have 6 wins from 6 and are 2nd on GD. I can't see past a home win here albeit a narrow one.
Prediction 1-0

Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs vs The Rumour Mill
Top of the table host 4th in this clash. The Pigs have made a 6 wins from 6 perfect start whereas The Mill have been quietly cropping up the table and sitting nicely in 4th place. Like the above game I can only see it going one way but the away side wont make it easy and I expect them to at least score in this game.
Prediction 2-1

Poachers FC vs Clayton Royals
The home side have had a somewhat indifferent start to the season, This team was some tipsters pick to threaten the big twos reign in this league, Still plenty of time to do so and after an Elite Cup success they should be in full focus to pick up some points here. The Royals lay in 6th position and have been pretty solid this season and after scrapping a 1-1 draw last time out this game could end up the same.
Prediction 1-1

Thanet United vs Ocean City Reserves
Thanet United seem to currently be this seasons draw specialists with 4 of the 6 games ended up this way so far this campaign. The Reserves who sit in 3rd place scored a confidence boosting win last night in the Elite Cup although very lucky and should of most probably lost that game. This can go either way but I think the trend could continue for the home side.
Prediction 1-1

Touchnplay vs Saiyan Warriors
After 7pts out of a possible 9pts in their last 3 games the home side find themselves right in contention for the ICC places in 5th. The away side sit in 7th and tend to either win or lose with not one game drawn this season. I think the home side will have too much to offer.
Prediction 2-0

Atletico Methodical vs FC Schwifty - Prediction large away win!

Ruff Ryders vs Dynamo St Jude
Turner has found life in 3-1-1 difficult with his young team but with his 5pts gained after facing some big teams can build a platform for the season. They face Dynamo St Jude who were promoted along side them and now sit below them in the table. I see the home side doing the business tonight in this one.
Prediction 3-1

Padstow Town vs Barnsley Bullets - Prediction Away Win

Mr C
Ocean City Orioles - C1
Arsenals Invincibles  - C4
London Heat Colts - C6
The Wizard of Ozil - C7

Lucy won it the season before last and I was a bit unlucky to lose in last season's final.  We both went out early in the following season to teams they might have expected (with respect to those opponents) to beat. Something in the match engine, I suspect, so I'm not surprised to be out and happily leave C3 representation in the hands of those who got through.

disappointed to draw in FL4 but still in the promotion places hopefully I can beat Saiyan tonight if I get the 3 points then it will be a good start to the season
