Couldn't break down Rathpeacon's mighty defence!

0-0 Bore Draw. I will take any points I can get in these first 6 fixtures.

I can already see this league is going to be close again with only 3 teams gaining 2 wins from 2 in the first couple of games!

Eamonn is a tough nut to crack, definitely one to watch - a real dark horse!

Great league though Mr C  8)

Well played last night dave, no complaints about that one!

Shame I couldn’t get into the Server Cup Final today to give C3 another shot at Silverware.

Onto tonight and yet another tough tie against Lucy  ::)

Have to say, after just five games, how tough but enjoyable 3-1-1 is. Two wins, two draws and a loss, six goals scored, two conceded. Not good enough to mount a challenge for the top spots but good enough to steer clear of relegation. It's going to be a tough slog but hopefully I'll get close to a top eight finish.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update we are at 12/16 for the conference 3 cup. Going to chase those who are yet to enter as I would like the competition filled by the start of next week.

Thanks
Joe

I was annoyed but my win against Green Bay Parkers made me feel better. :D  (Here in Chicago the Bears fans call Packers fans "cheese heads.")   :)  Huge rivalry. No offense meant.  ;)

For no apparent reason --- I like cheese. A lot.   :). And I know a lot more about it than I do Gridiron Rugby.

So ---- Should the need ever arise --- Questions on cheese to me --- And questions on Gridiron Rugby to Lucy.

I suppose we could swap roles at Christmas --- For fun?   :D

Conference 3 - Day 8 Preview

The Rumour Mill vs Rathpeacon
The reigning champions have made a solid start again to the new campaign with 5 wins out of a possible 7 and lye in 3rd place, I'm sure Chris would be happy with this even at this early stage seeing the strength of 3-1-1 now. Eamon's side come into this game in great form unbeaten in 4 games with the last 3 being straight wins.
I dont see much being given away by either side in this one - Prediction 0-0

Arsenal Invincibles vs The Pompey Chimes
The home side go into this game following a opening 6 game slug which saw a return of W2, D2, L2.
A.I finally got back on track last night with a 3-1 win against the lowly Saiyan Warriors.
The Chimes lye in 7th after 7 games following their promoting from 3-1-2 and I am sure Jimbo will be more than made up with their current position following decent draws against Thanet & Green Bay, Nijinsky however handed them a 0-3 drubbing last night and they will be looking to bounch back.
Prediction 1-1 - Based on how my season is going

Poachers FC vs Green Bay Parkers
Following being handed a good squad, Ryan has steered the Green Bay Parkers into 5th place and well in contention to mix it up at the top end this season. Lucy's Tigers ended their unbeaten run last night so they will be looking to get back to winning ways against a Poachers FC side currently 12th in the division and although Rich has had some logging in problems are struggling for any kind of form. Poachers need a result here to get their season going and I think they will get one albeit a close game. Prediction 1-0

Hoarse Whisperers vs Attack Attack Reserve
Nijinsky who was my "dark horse" pick in the pre season prediction has been going about his business nicely with a 16pts return from the opening 7 games and are currently the closest challengers to Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs. The away side have shipped the 3rd most in the league & are looming in the relegation places even at this early stage. The home side will have too much tonight. Prediction 3-0

Lucys Tigers vs Touchnplay
4th Place Lucys are on a unbeaten 4 match run (winning all 4) following a sluggish start to the season by her standards I'm sure. Joe's Touchnplay seem to be struggling to score many goals but fortunately for them also keeping the door shut at the other end. The home side rode their luck a little last night and I think Touchnplay could nick something here tonight. Prediction 1-1

Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs vs The Rhubarb Triangle
Not too much to preview in this one.
The run away leaders with 7 wins from 7 and only conceeding 2 goals come up against the 2nd to bottom team who have only scored 2 goals and conceeded 26. This is going one way and one way only.
Prediction 6-0

Thanet United v Foo Fighters
11th plays 16th in this game this evening with the home side losing the last 3 on the bounce which may worry Brian as they do not want to be too cut adrift from the others above. Foo Fighters are yet to score a single point though and I'm putting my neck on the line and saying tonight wont be the night either. Routine win and Thanet to get back on track. Prediction 4-1

Clayton Royals vs Saiyan Warriors
The home team currently in 9th place had a solid start to the season but after a 3 game losing streak they got back to winning ways last night. Saiyan Warriors have lost 5 games and only scored 5 goals and if their form doesnt change then they look certain to re-join 3-1-2 at the start of next season.
Low scoring game but the home side will come out on top. Prediction 2-1

We'll see what happens...
