Well done guys, carried me through it!!

Gonna carry my awol status through to the end of the season.

I really don't have the time to setup properly at the minute, sorry if this affects anyone's season adversely but it is what it is unfortunately  :-[

Thanks Mihai I wasn't expecting it as I had to play 4-5-1 for the first time in 3 seasons as I had 4 Awols

You have the slight easier run in but I'm on form at the minute having won my last 9 and unbeaten in 15 since you beat me

My next two games are the hardest having to play Real Kellyville and Lightwater if I'm still in contention after them two I've got a chance

Good Luck Stato

Thanks mate!
What happend to you this season ?  don't you see that 2-5-3 doesn't worth it?
you should get back to 4-5-1 or 5-2-3 ...  8)

I'm counting on you in our UCB squad next season ... ;)

Hey Con2,

the time has come to sign up for UCB 19, select your quartet and sign up below. Please assign the captain to the nÂș1 spot:

1.                   (Capt.)
2.
3.
4.

Thanks,
Deca & Mihai

I will choose the team later, but I'm opened to any suggestions  :D

I wouldn't say that, mate! It brought me to the EC finals and got me 2nd place in FL1. My midfield wasn't nearly as strong as I'd hoped it would be at the beginning of the season, but I feel I've brought it back as much as I could. ;D All things considered, I've quite happy with 2-5-3 (I'll go as far as claiming it's the best passing formation and its main downfall is that it doesn't synergize well with 5-2-3, but 2-5-3 Longball is decent enough). :)

On a related note, what's going on with the Steel City Blades? :o

I think Brads is awol for past 2-3 weeks ... hope he's ok

btw, 2-5-3 was the best formation when I played on fulham server in 2005-2006 ... smashed formations like 4-5-1, 3-5-2 and also 3-4-1-2 (the one I used to play those days with quite succes) ...
on the other hand Holmes used to play 2-5-3 few seasons ago also succesfull ...

there are many good formations, I guess sometimes depends on which good players you have available ... and AT of course :D

Btw, I've noticed that 4-4-2 use wings is strong enough in longball conditions

I saw Brads make a post on the forums not too long ago but noticed he still wasn't setting up in-game. :-\

And I'm positive you can get away with using a lot of different formations if you have the right players. ;) I've been looking into formations using DMIDs for quite some time given how cheap they go for on the transfer market, and I've seen Russ use them to a great effect with his 3-6-1 formation. A few formations I've been meaning to try are 1-4-5 and 1-8-1 but if imagining all the rebuilding I would have to do if they proved to be awful has turned me off the idea, lol.
