Great write up steve as per, nick you can just use the excuse that you had all eyes focused on the cup tomorrow its fine haha. Another Spurs related team tonight in white hart lane. I said last night it was a must win game but tonight im afraid anything less than a win will pretty much relegate me I reckon as womble says 30 points is the required number needed to stay up !

Well good luck with your match against the Lane and good game with us. A fair result I thought.

What really irritates me is this morning's game against HH Beticos. I was playing my 'new' game, Rage, and completely forgot until about 5 minutes to go. I set up basic tactics pretty quickly, including longball. I then went in to change my squad accordingly, came out and did some very quick ATs then when the result came in, for some reason I'd played passing instead of longball and ended up loosing 1-0! Now whether or not a longball game would have given me the win, I'm not sure. Maybe, maybe not. Anyway Beticos, good result matey. I know we both needed it. Oh well onwards and upwards. Still time I think.

Did you definitely confirm longball ? it's funny you should say that nick because when i looked at my AT's last for last nights game I could have sworn i went defensive at k.o if loosing after 15 counter attack then defensive after 60 but for some reason that's not what happened... I don't know if it just me going mental but i'm going to keep an eye on it.

TheBlades opened up a gap at the top of the table as he showed TheRomanian how to play with a good win at home. TheCuban is undefeated but his team may be too cautious and yet another draw sees him sit around the Champs League places. TheVice proved too good for Bayern and im sure the returning Captain will be pleased when he returns from his travels. Tipton showed his danger as he put more pressure on ThePink who has now suffered backtoback defeats. Spartak had to settle for a draw with TheRocket. TheBeticos returned to winning ways against a disappointed Tottenham side. TheLane picked up their first win against TheTouch but both sides remain in the bottom4 and TheFanClub had to settle for a draw with TheBubbles but could that point be good at thend of the season, both sides remain in the lower half of midtable.

Got me today Was hoping the tables were turned, but still liking this season a lot better. We probably have more matches before Sunday (haven't really checked) but won't be able to update the tables before then.

The defending champ looks to move further clear with a home victory over TheRocket, The Romanian invites Tottenham to his arena still smarting from his last game. FCLuton and Beticos square off in a potential thriller. TheCuban must win against TheLane. TheVice meets TheTouch knowing he he has do TheCaptain proud. Bayern faces TheFanClub in a tough encounter for both, but who will come out on top. Tipton looks to continue his good season against TheBubbles and ThePink must return to winning ways against the disappointing Spartak.

All the fancied sides won apart from Bayern who had to settle for a draw against the battling FanClub and Tipton who suffered a shock defeat against TheBubbles.

As we approach the halfway stage, the title looks to be between TheBlades and The Romanian and possibly ThePink and TheCuban if they can get a winning run going. Champion League spaces are up for grabs and any of the top8 can realistically fancy their chances of gettin in the league. Relegation looks to be between the bottom 7 but the bottom 2 really need to get things going soon, the other 2 spaces look to be very tight.

The Captain is finally back!

After a long stressful ride on my ship around the pacific, after my ship crashed and after I was stuck on an island for 3 days smoking nothing but herbs and eating nothing but seaweed and crab, I have finally landed back in London and back into SL action!

There were a few shocks last nite in what is turning out to be a very unpredictable and competitive league. TheBlades maintained their lead at the top with a narrow home win over Spartak. TheRomanian had to hang on against a spirited Rocket. FCLuton lost at home to Tottenham who got out of the relegation zone with the win. TheCuban had a comfortable home win over Beticos to remain undefeated, TheCaptain returned from his travels and the team were rejuvinated and made TheLane pay. Bayern and TheTouch fought out a goalless draw, maybe an important point for TheTouch there. TheFanClub had an impressive result as he came from a goal down to beat the dangerous Tipton away from home. ThePink took the points from TheBubbles to remain in third.
