The Champions League Thread
« on: October 01, 2020, 05:26:17 PM »
Group H

United
PSG
Leipzig
Istanbul Basaksehir

Well that draw was a fix, two of the last four sides left in the competition last season and a difficult trip to Turkey. 😲😂

Group E

Chelsea
Sevilla
Rennes
Krasnodar

Group D

Red scouse gits
Ajax
Atlantic
Midtiylland

Group C

City
Porto
Olympiacos
Marseille

Piss easy group for the Berties.

That bloody draw took FOREVER 😲

United playing with three at the back:

De Gea

Tuanzebe Lindelof Shaw

Wan-Bissaka Fred McTominay Telles

Fernandes

Rashford Martial

United defending REALLY well so far and we're causing them problems going forward.

United went a goal ahead through a Fernandes penalty that had to be retaken when their keeper saved the first effort off the line.

And that's United 0-1 up at halftime and a great performance so far, particularly at the back.

United have had 4 attempts on goal with 2 on target and PSG have had 5 attempts on goal with 2 on target despite having 58.9% of possession.

This would be a great start to a difficult run of fixtures if we can come out of this game with a point at least. 😎😁😎

Bollocks. A Martial own goal makes it 1-1 😲😭

United are under A LOT of pressure now, we're relying on the counter a lot more this half.

Rashford scores a cracking goal to put us 1-2 up, assist from Pogba.

I can see Ollie making a few changes now to run down the clock.

Yup. Van de Beek on for Fernandes and James on for Martial.

And that's a 1-2 away win for United against one of the competition's Finalists last season.

A great performance and a great result that came down to our more clinical finishing. 😎😁😎😁😎

A draw for Chelsea on Tuesday and wins for both the red scouse gits and the Berties last night. 😁

Team news for United, looks like a 4-4-2 with a diamond going by the side he's putting out:

De Gea

Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw

Matic

Fred Pogba

van de Beek

Greenwood Martial

Could also play 4-3-3 with a number 6 too but I think the shape above is more likely 😁

Greenwood just scored but looks offside to me.

Nope. It's been given!!! 😲

It's been quite a fast-paced game so far, good to watch.

1-0 to United 😎😁😎

1-0 to United at halftime. As soon as I said it was fast paced the game slowed right down lmfao, the first 20 minutes were great 😂

Another 45 minutes to go yet so it's not over yet but we've looked pretty good in Europe so far against two sides that were amongst the last four in the competition.
