Martial gets a start this evening against Leicester and Rashford is on the bench:

De Gea

Valencia Bailly Jones Blind

Matic Pogba

Mata Micki Martial

Lukaku

Bench: Romero Darmian Smalling Herrera Fellaini Lingard Rashford

A MUCH tougher test for United this evening compared to the first 2 matches but we did put 7 past them last season.

United were all over them during that first half. 13 attempts on goal but only 3 on target though. They've had 2 and one on target. You can't help thinking that it's only a matter of time before United score but we REALLY need to get more of our chances on target if we're going to win this.

Looks like that comment of mine has put the kiss of death on United scoring this evening. Young Schmeichel has made a couple of great saves including one from a Lukaku penalty. Should have been retaken though because he came off his line a fair bit.

Fellaini on for Micki and now Lingard on for Martial. Rashford came on for Mata earlier.

And that's number two. Fellaini looked offside to me but I'm not going to complain lol. ;D

2-0 final score. 3 matches played, 3 wins, 10 goals scored and 0 goals conceded. The scoreline last week flattered us but this week on balance of play 4-0 would have been a fair result.

Pogba got the Man Of The Match award but it should have gone to Maguire. He was immense during that game. Schmeichel also came close to getting it from me too.

Yup, and only 5 injuries so far. Plus we've scored nearly a fifth of the total goals scored for the whole of last season in 3 matches lmfao

It's the Matic signing that's done it. Chelsea were crazy to let him go and even crazier to let him go to United. One of the most bizarre transfer decisions I've EVER seen a football club make. What the fuck were they thinking..?

Pogba's improvement so far is down to 2 things. Firstly Matic is allowing him to play further forward where his game excels and secondly he appears to have got rid of the 'ring rust' that he had last season after playing in Italy for three years.

Still, early days yet, but the signs so far are looking pretty good. All we need now is a bit of luck with injuries and we should win the Premiership. These last three seasons have been ridiculous. Any of the other top 6 clubs would have ended up mid-table if they had the injuries that we've had for the last three seasons, it's only down to our squad being the strongest in the Premiership that we haven't been mid-table every season. 86 injuries during Van Gaal's first season (although to be fair that does include players unavailable through illness too!). :o

Apparently Barkley changed his mind partway through his medical for Chelsea. :o

That total bullshit has been exposed in the press. He never had a medical. Decided to wait until he's fit.

Wouldn't be surprised if there has been a deal done to wait until January when his price will drop as he's closer to the end of his contract. Paying that kind of money for a player available on a free in the summer is just stupid, same as City with Sanchez.

Personally I'd rather we didn't sign Berkley. Not going to improve the first team.

Glad Ox didn't join us. Wanted to play in centre mid. Who the hell would he displace in out team on the wing or in the middle. I wouldn't even pick him ahead of Moses at wing-back. His stats from Arsenal are awful in terms of productivity (assists and goals).

Right now we should be looking to improve the first team if we can, not be spending stupid money on players who will warm the bench.

Yup, Barkley is a big fish in a small pond at Everton and Oxymoron is useless.

And I'm tempted to put a quid on arse to get relegated but they're only 750/1 now lol ;D

And Ray Wilkins has joined the LONG list of pundits that are baffled by Chelsea's bizarre decision to sell Matic to United. It seems like jman is the only person in the world that doesn't think it was a bad decision lol ;D

I think it was okay. If Utd hadn't bought Matic they might have bought someone better, and believe me there are a fair few better. Bakayoko for instance is a massive upgrade on Matic.

So it might have helped Utd but they;d have bought someone else anyway and nobody else was going to give us £40 million for Matic.

You'll realise his limitations eventually. He has his good games but he has periods during a season where he goes missing if things aren't going well - like our bad season a couple of years back.

Then there's the fact if we have belief in ourselves and the players we've bought, Utd were always going to be stronger this time round and if it helps Utd take points of of other top sides, then it may do us a favour in some respects. We've just got to make sure we win our games.

Chelsea are gonna get relegated. You should put your money on now before they end up odds-on :P

And arse too ;D ;D ;D

Shame you can't put a multiple bet on relegations these days, a Chelsea and arse relegation Double would give you GREAT odds :o 8)
