Football Betting
« on: October 24, 2012, 03:50:26 PM »
City have to win tonight, at 3/4.. think its a smart bet against an Ajax team that they should beat..

My 5 way bet tonight :

Man City @ 3/4
Malaga @ 10/11
Arsenal @ 11/10
Porto @ 8/15
PSG @ 4/7

£2.83 bet returns £47.84

With a £5 covering bet on just City to win returns £8.75  ;D

You're better off having 3 bankers, doing 3 singles, 1 treble, doubles, a trixie and a patent. You'll generally get double your stake back (including your stake obviously) if they all come in and your stake back if only two out of three come in. Not big money but generally a safer bet that picking 5.

I always make a profit every season doing this.

Good defensive record.. top of their group and at home... they have scored enough in the PL so far..

...they were just crap last night.. same with norwich...

...regardless.. it was city who I was more suprised with.. they really are crap in europe, Ajax took them to pieces  :o

They've scored bugger all in the Premier League so far, despite having 'the best squad' in the Premiership lol ;D

What, 13 goals in 8 games.. its not great but more than enough... they have only conceeded 6 so far (joint best defense) and were top of their group...

Could easily say betting on united is equally as risky due to the fact they have conceeded so many goals.. against some poor teams too... if I was to have a bet on the chelsea/united game.. I would be betting on chelsea to beat united for that very fact..

Joint best defence...but the table doesn't lie. They're going to be in the bottom half of the table soon, and whilst defensively United have been pretty poor we've had no problem sticking the ball in the net - we're only 4 points behind Che£$ki and have had 14 different goalscorers.

We may get beat on Sunday but even if we do we're still in a much better position than arse ;)

Didnt you have a bet on arsenal to beat manu when arsenal played a yoof team last season.. yeah... think you did  ;D

Anyway only done a few small bets this weekend :

5 way accum
Spurs @ 4/6
Newcastle @ 10/11
Everton @ 13/8
Villa @ 10/11
Stoke (Draw) @ 9/4
= £2 at 57/1

Chelsea leading 1-0 at HT, 2-2 FT score = £1 @ 55/1
United to come from behind and draw = £2 @ 11/2

No backing bet this week - didnt fancy arse or city for their matches this week funnily enough  ;D

Yup, but the odds were 6/1 so it was worth (as far as I remember) a fiver at that sort of price. You do get upsets every now and then :P

I might email Paddy Power at some point to see if they'll give me odds on Van Persil scoring more Premiership goals than Giroud and Podolski added together. 8)

Bookies were basically giving money away last night... Got on Dortmund -2 at 5/2 against some German 3rd tier side when Dortmund were playing a full strength team. They won 4-1. Stuck a tenner on and got £35 back, decent little profit.

Tonight I'm on -

Real Madrid -1 (KO at 9pm)
Malaga -1 (Currently 1-0 up)
Atletico Madrid -1 (Currently 1-0 up and the other team is down to 10)

£10 on for £130 back

Not happy about that... Real Madrid won 4-1, Atletico won 3-0, and Malaga somehow managed to concede 3 goals to a Spanish 3rd tier side and only won 4-3!! Damn them!

FA Cup weekend though so bound to be plenty of opportunities to make the loss back.

What a pain...

Gone with

Chelsea
Man United
Spurs
and Sunderland all to win this weekend..

9/1 combined odds.. the only worry I have is if sunderland will actually score.. the others should win their games I'd think.

Will grab a paper tomorrow and do my FA Cup accumulator while Im having a crap.. my best thoughts come then.. any tips (on the betting, not on going to the toilet) would be handy

I've just discovered a foolproof (but VERY tedious) way of earning money on online roulette. Put a quid on Black, if it comes in you win a quid profit and if it doesn't come in you double your stake each time until it does come in to make yourself a quid profit. Have had a few squeaky bum moments when I've had 64 quid on Black and wouldn't have had enough to go for 128 quid but my profits are increasing very steadily - started off with a 25 quid no deposit bonus for Ladbrokes Casino...and I now have £147.

I need to rollover that £25 30 times but the way this is going it won't be a problem...I might even go for the method of putting 2 quid on Red, 2 quid on Black and 1 quid on Green to see if that still works lol.

Update: I now have £326 lol. My bonus expires after 48 hours, so it'll drop down to £301 at some point...still, can't complain about getting free money :P

Just wish it wasn't so tedious >:( :o

Aye Harv, it's called the Martingale system I believe... lol

Tried it myself once but got bored quickly... Very effective if you wait until there have been 3 or 4 reds/blacks in succession.
