Anyone know what the William Hill maximum payout is..? Kevin downstairs has put another mental bet on, 12 match accumulator with both teams to score in the first half for 25p. The thing at the bottom of his betting slip says it's going to pay £246,000,000 subject to maximum payout conditions.

They can't pay that much though, they'd go bankrupt lol ;D

I can't remember anyone getting more than a million out of the bookies unless my memory is failing me..?

One of my ex landlords ended up winning over £500,000 on a football accumulator in 1993. Ended up ripping him off for the rent because the bloke was a shithead that had me and a couple of flat mates living in a deathtrap :o

Cheltenham starts tomorrow!!  ;D ;D

Love a bit of jump racing.. hoping to see some bookies pull out some quality offers.

WillHill have got a no lose offer on the Supreme Novices Chase tomorrow for new and existing customers.
Money back as a free bet (up to £25) if your win/ew bet doesn't come in.

Think I'll be going for a score on Douvan on this one..

Will be looking for sign-up bonuses for the bookies I'm not signed up with yet.. BetVictor, 365, Betfair are a couple.. so if you know of any good offers for these harv, let me know.

Boyle Sports got an free bet special if Un De Sceaux doesn't win the Arkle..

Personally I cant see anyone beating him.. so a big bet to lump on that with a free-bet coming back if the worst happens..

Just signed up to BetFair.. Bet £10 get 3x £10 Free Bets.. not bad.. especially since you can have odds from 1/5 upwards.

Not sure about offers these days because online gambling has now been regulated in the UK, a great deal of sites operate from Malta for some reason, at least they did a couple of years ago. I'm going to give my Mum some cash in May or June to do some Bonus Bagging for me.

I've told her how easy it is but she's not confident enough to do it at the moment so will fund it for her so that she's not risking anything lol. ;D I've told her it's literally risk free but she can't get her head around it, so probably better if she can see it in action first-hand. 8)

First big bookie bonanza of the day.

Un De Sceaux at Evens with Coral.. from 8:30 today..  max bet - £20.  Too good to turn down.. I've got £19 on my coral account from yesterday nights footy bets.. so I'm having £19 at evens - sorted.

Douvan and Un De Sceaux will be my bankers of the day.
Also got £5 E/W on Hurricane Fly (free bet).. at 9/1 I was playing the odds a bit.  Mullins seems to think he's got a chance even if the bookies don't.

Got a few more little bets to place later today.. unsure if I will do the whole race-card today though... too many races I could pick 3 or 4 winners from.

Fuck it... gone with

1:30 Douvan  - Result 1st - Douvan, 2nd - Shaneshill, 3rd - Sizing John
Nice!!  I backed him at 6/4 but WillHill paid out at best odds - he went out to 2/1.
£25 returns £50 profit

2:05 Un De Sceaux Result 1st - Un De Sceaux, 2nd - God's Own, 3rd - Josses Hill
Yes!  Hope I'm not going to regret not backing that accu...
Had £29 on different odds.. returned £26.27 in profit

2:40 Ned Stark Result 1st - The Druids Nephew, 2nd - Grand Jesture, 3rd - Gallant Oscar, 4th - Indian Castle
I picked out Druids Nephew and Ned Stark yesterday.. picked the wrong one, oh well.
£0 loss because it was a free bet.

3:20 Faugheen, Hurricane Fly Result 1st - Faugheen 2nd - Artic Fire, 3rd - Hurricane Fly
Well good news because I had Faugheen to win and Hurricane Fly e/w.. but FUCK.. only Annie Power to win that 17/1 accu that I turned my nose up at
£3.20 profit for Faugheen and £11.25 for Hurricane Fly

4:00 Glenns Melody Result 1st - Glenns Melody, 2nd - Polly Peachum, 3rd - BitofaPuzzle
Cant believe it.. I cant believe it.. Annie Power, miles in the lead and fell at the last fence!!  I feel really bad because I told my mate to stick a score on Annie Power earlier.. lol.. and I had Glenns Melody.. I think he hates me now lololol.
£2 e/w bet @ 6/1 returned £15 profit

4:40 Sego Success Result 1st - Cause of Causes, 2nd - Broadway Buffalo, 3rd - The Job Is Right, 4th - Perfect Gentleman
Didn't watch this but just caught the last furlong or so, Sego Success finished 5th.. just outside the places.. bugger!
£0 loss - free bet.

5:15 Stellar Notion Result 1st - Irish Cavalier, 2nd - Thomas Crapper, 3rd - Generous Ransom, 4th - Horizontal Speed
Stellar Notion was at the front for a while but fell away 3-4 fences from the last and came nowhere lol.
£0 loss - free bet.

earlier... I was tempted to put a cheeky bet on Douvan/Un De Sceaux/Faugheen/Annie Power.. 17/1 - Ruby riding all 4 Mullins horses.. apparently a lot of punters have got this accumulator today.. I cant see it though.. not all 4...

Cant believe this.. the bookies really escaped this today.. it would of been epic!!

Total Profit - £105.72 - not bad  ;D

The dreaded Day 2... I never do as well as on Day 1..

So I've done the full race-card again, but held back on most of them... potential max loss of £32 today.

1:30 Windsor Park Result 1st - Windsor Park, 2nd - Parlour Games, 3rd - Nichols Canyon
Good as any start I guess!!  Was a good race and could of gone to any of the front runners, hopefully this is a sign of a decent day to come!
£1 e/w @ 5/1 = £6.25 Profit

2:05 Don Poli Result 1st - Don Poli, 2nd - Southfield Theatre, 3rd -Wounded Warrior
YES.. Phew.. I wasn't convinced by Don Poli's jumping and on 2nd last fence he made a horrible jump, but he had the stamina to get back in front and away from the pack and won by 6 lengths in the end...
£18 win @ different odds = £32 Profit

2:40 Goodwood Mirage, Zabana Result 1st - Aux Ptits Song, 2nd - Zabana,  3rd - Activial, 4th- Taglietelle, 5th - Volnay De Thaix
Bugger.. Zabana.. so close to winning.. beaten by a neck!!  Great finish though!  Had a cracking day so far.. just hope it holds out to the next race!
£2 loss on Goodwood Mirage but £1 ew @ 20/1 on Zabana = £5.25 - so £3.25 profit.

3:20 Sprinter Sacre Result 1st - Dodging Bullets, 2nd- Somersby, 3rd - Special Tiara
Bugger... my dad told me to go Dodging Bullets.. but Sprinter was such a good horse in the day.. no idea where it finished.  Edit: Found out later, he pulled up at the last fence.. I couldn't watch all of this one unfortunately and the feed was a bit dodgy too.
£10 loss.

4:00 Sire Collonges Result 1st - Rivage D'or, 2nd - Any Currency, 3rd - Uncle Junior, 4th - Dogora
Decided to leave work without this race finishing so no idea what happened.
£2 loss.

4:40 Starchitect Result 1st - Qualando, 2nd - Bouvreuil, 3rd - The Saint James, 4th - Starchitect
Again didn't watch it, so no idea what happened, but bagged a place!
£1 e/w @ 22/1 - returned £4.50 profit.

5:15 Moon Racer Result 1st - Moon Racer, 2nd - Modus, 3rd - Wait For Me, 4th - Yanworth
Got a really bad start... never really recovered... until the end!!  It came from absolutely nowhere and won by a good few lengths.. wasn't expecting anything after that start... the price came in to 9/2 but I got it at 7/1 :D
£1 e/w @ 7/1 - returned £8.75 profit

Happy with today, Sprinter was a bit of a risk, but cant complain at 3 winners, a 2nd and a 4th.. typical that I held back on most of the bets today lol.

Profit Today = £42.75
Total Profit = £148.47

Hope you do as well as you did on the first day, mate.
Am not betting on these but I like watching how you do!

Haha cheers bud.. I only bet on Cheltenham and the National each year.. Cheltenham fever is so good though.. I'm loving it.. I didn't win as much yesterday as I have in previous years but it was probably the most gripping and exciting day of racing I've seen for a long while.. if only Annie Power had made it.. the bookies would of had their heaviest loss in history!!

I'm going to try and go next year I think, the 1st day is always the best.. but the Gold Cup on the final day is pretty epic too.

I've got a few long shots in there...so I might not win many today... if Don Poli comes in I'll break even.. he's the heavy favourite so I am expecting him to win.  If Sprinter comes in later (regardless of other results) - then I'm quids in for the day!

Coral gave faller insurance on Annie Power yesterday, so my mate got a £20 free bet back.. I told him to stick it on Sprinter today lol.. I'll be avoiding him if Sprinter comes nowhere!

Well at least this time you're betting on the horse you've tipped others to back, instead of tipping one and winning on another!  ;D

Day 3.

Probably has the most wide open races of the festival I reckon.. I could easily pick 3 or 4 winners in nearly every race...  :-\

Again, done the full race-card but held back on pretty much all of them today and gone e/w on them all too.. potential £28 loss today - gearing up for tomorrow which looks much better.  Although saying that if Valseur Lido and Hidden Cyclone both win, I'll be very happy today!

1:30 Valseur Lido Result 1st - Vautour, 2nd - Apache Stronghold, 3rd - Valseur Lido
Dammit, I knew I should of backed Vautour.. could of got 3/1 this morning too and he went off at 13/8!!  He absolutely cained everyone else, jumped brilliantly and won by about 15 lengths - a star in the making for sure.
£5 e/w @ 9/2 returns £10.62 = £0.62 Profit.  (+ £5 free bet from Paddy Power.. wasn't aware they had an offer on!)

2:05 Edeymi, Unique De Cotte Result 1st - Call The Cops, 2nd - Unique De Cotte, 3rd - The Tourard Man, 4th - Henryville, 5th - Aqalim
So friggin close again.. thought he had it prior to the last fence but Call The Cops just held him off.  Edeymi came nowhere.. fucked up the first fence apparently.
£1 e/w on Edeymi = £2 loss
£1 e/w on Unique De Cotte = £3 profit
Profit = £1  ;D

2:40 Hidden Cyclone Result 1st - Uxizandre, 2nd - Ma Filleule, 3rd - Don Cossack
2nd most of the race.. just didn't have enough in the tank at the end and tailed off before the last fence..  Really fast pace to the race, McCoy had a great race and glad he's had one winner.  Mine finished 6th in the end..
£0 loss - free bet.

3:20 Un Temps Pour Tout, Whisper Result 1st - Cole Harden, 2nd - Saphir Du Rheu, 3rd - Zarkander
Another horse that led ALL the way!! Bollocks, both of mine finished 4th and 5th, both had a good chance but just couldn't keep up with the 3 front runners.
£2 loss on Un Temps Pour Tout
£0 loss on Whisper - Free Bet

4:00 Un Ace, Rawnaq Result 1st - Darna, 2nd - Monetaire, 3rd - Rawnaq, 4th - Buywise
Didn't watch it, but Rawnaq got a place!  Am I gonna get a winner today ? :(
£2 loss on Un Ace
£5.25 profit on Rawnaq
£3.25 profit.

4:40 The Package, Garrahalish Result 1st - The Package, 2nd - Bless The Wings, 3rd - Buddy Bolero, 4th - Grand Vision
Bugger.. Garrahalish got bought down with a couple of fences to go.. in a good position too.  Then about 3 or 4 front running horses fell on the 4th from last fence.. and The Package stepped up to take the lead and won by about 5-7 lengths!! Woop Woop!
£1 e/w @ 12/1 = £15 profit!

Been a frustrating day of nearly nearlys... a 2nd, two 3rds, a 4th, a 5th and a 6th.. just glad it ended with a winner and an overall profit!

Profit = £17.87
Total Profit = £166.34

Will try and be sensible tomorrow.. but cant promise anything, there will be a big blowout bet somewhere, hehehe.

Day 4 -

Ok here we go.. joined two new bookies today and got some good free bets going today.. wagered £80 of the profit I've made so far.. so whatever happens I'll end up with £86 total profit across the 4 days.. but fingers crossed today as I could well net a nice return..  I have been a bit cautious by chickening out on the win bets.. they are all each way again today.. but there is a £50 bet in there somewhere ;)

1:30: Hargem Result 1st - Peace And Co, 2nd - Top Notch, 3rd - Hargem
Ooooh close!!  Was a very exciting race.. but the favourite just had it..
£12.50 e/w @ 13/2 = £7.81 profit.

2:05: Quick Jack, Modem Result 1st - Wicklow Brave, 2nd - Sort it Out , 3rd - Quick Jack, 4th - Max Dynamite, 5th - Analifet
Thought for a sec, my 18/1 Modem was going to come in there.. but he just fell behind just before the last fence!!  Wicklow Brave just outshot every other horse and won by a street in the end - he was 25/1 !!  Quick Jack came 3rd as least!
£10 loss on Modem-
£5 e/w on Quick Jack @ 6/1 returns £2.50 profit

2:40: No More Heroes Result 1st - Martello Tower, 2nd - Milsean, 3rd - No More Heroes
Bastard!!!! My horse got blocked off in 3rd when trying to overtake the two leaders!!  He couldn't catch them up in the end because of that!
£25 e/w (free bet) returns £3.13 profit - BASTARD!! lol

3;20: Coneygree Result 1st - Coneygree, 2nd - Road To Riches, 3rd - Djakadam
Coneygree - led from the front all race... and won!!! YES!!!   Sucks that I was so, so close to making this my £50 bet though.. *shakes head*
£12.50 e/w @ 10/1 = £156.25 profit!! Lovely Jubbly!!

4:00: On The Fringe Result 1st - On The Fringe, 2nd - Following Dreams, 3rd - Paint The Clouds, 4th - Carsonstown Boy
Didn't watch it.. but totally fucked up.  Thought I had backed On The Fringe, £2.5 e/w with coral... turns out I've still got £5 in my coral account.. it must of not accepted my bet for some reason DOH!!  Just lost out on another £20 profit - fuckit!

4:40: Killultagh Vic Result 1st - Killultagh Vic, 2nd - Noble Endeavor, 3rd - Roi Des Francs, 4th - Kauto Grand Mogol
Get in!!!  Wow, what a close finish that was.. it was between the first two.. Killultagh Vic kinda made a mess of the last fence.. and Noble Endeavor took the lead.. but Killutagh came back and took it!
£12.50 e/w @11/1 (free bet) = £171.88 profit.  Ooooh yeah!!

5:15: Grumeti Result 1st - Next Sensation, 2nd - Eastlake, 3rd - Croco Bay
No idea how this one finished.. I was already down the pub, spending my winnings lol.
£5 loss.

Profit Today = £326.57

Total Profit - £492.91

What a week.. LOVE IT !  ;D ;D

£50 equals my biggest ever bet.
I can't remember if it was £50 on the nose, or £25 each way. Was about 15 years ago, at the Grand National. I'd lost on the first five/six races in a row, starting at £5 on the first race, and gradually increasing my bets as the day went on, chasing that big win, and had fifty quid on the final race.

It came nowhere.
I was about £120-£130 down for the day, and that was just the bets.
Still a good day, mind.

Hehe.. the £50 bet is a free bet.. so less risk.. I'm not stupid enough to bet £50 in real money on a horse.. oops  ;D

I think £50 would be my biggest bet too.. it was on a Chelsea match I went to see a few years ago and it came in... didn't get much back from it though.  I had £20 on Chelsea to win 3-0 against Wolves on my 30th birthday 3 years ago... whilst wearing the number 30 on my shirt... that managed to come in.. think that's been my biggest return ever... it was only a couple of hundred  :o

...although that could be eclipsed today  ;D

My biggest win was on an England match.
I can't remember the exact details, but I'd gone for a scorecast (correct score combined with correct first goalscorer). I'd put £2 on the opposition striker to score first but England to win 3-1, and it came in at 125/1. I think we were playing Slovenia or Slovakia. Was about 10-12 years ago.
It was hard to hide the elation I felt when England went behind, and I felt a bit of a traitor, but you can be bloody sure I was cheering England on more than anyone else in the pub for the rest of that match.

Have been close to much bigger wins in the past, losing out thanks to my always backing Boro. I used to pick out 8 teams to win, and cover the 6-folds and 7-folds as well as the 8-fold.
On three or four occasions I collected on 6-folds, bringing in around £40-£60 each time. If one of the other matches had come in it would've been around £400-£700, and if all eight came in it would've been about £5k-£8k (differed from bet to bet depending on the odds of each match of course). On every one of those occasions the Boro let me down - including throwing away a lead against ten men.

It's always a love/hate relationship with your team, though.
I remember once I was at the Riverside watching Boro play when we had Gazza playing for us. Brian Deane had scored the first goal for us, and we were 4-1 up, with a couple of minutes to go, and we got a free-kick about 30 yards out. I had £1 on Deane and 4-1, at 125/1.
Gazza scored a wonder-goal from that free kick. Everyone in the stadium was jumping for joy. I appreciated how fantastic it was, and I loved that we won 5-1, but I was gutted that the git had cost me £125! =))
