Hi all

How do I get more attendance for my games?  I heard something about sharing link but can't find how you do it as the dots aren't showing next to the game.  I know watching the game yourself helps but I'm not usually around for Aus games as it's late morning GMT  ::)  I've moved my friendly time to 7 am to help with that.

It's easy to buy tickets from people on your friends list, and I always look and try and buy tickets to support the other Sunday Leaguers on there. With enough of us on there, I don't think we'll have any problems filling our stadiums for games. What league are you in?

Oh, and do you really have to start watching friendlies at least 15 minutes before they start??

Are you talking about to increase attendance at matches or to get the credits. So far, as far as league matches go, as long as I've started watching at some point while the match is live then I've had the attendance boost or received the credit. The same is true of friendlies with regards to the half credit you get.

I've experimented with different formations, I got promoted using 4-5-1, but the higher leagues seem to favour 3-5-2, or 4-4-2

I used the scouting reports to select the most likely win scenario against opponents, by doing a report for each of their most used formations (from the list available. It worked well until the last few games of the season when every bot team seemed to play a formation that was better suited to the one I'd chosen (i.e they didn't use their most common formation). Add that to inuries to key players and I just missed out on automatic promotion and even a place in the play offs, finishing 5th.

Defence appeared to be my weak area, so I've been improving my squad over the close season. May not be finished yet as I lose three decent loan players at midnight tonight, so I may go for a loan player or two.

Training complex finishes upgrading in about a minute (level 4). When I've established the cash, next it will by my stadium to a 4000 capacity, then youth centre will go to level 5.

I've been trying to upgrade my health centre along with training complex as the training complex supposedly increases the chance of injury and the health centre counters that, plus reduces fatigue.

And regarding getting lvl 2 stadium, does the 4/5 400+ attendance rule only apply to home competitive games or do friendlies count?  Not an urgent thing as I'm building YC atm but would be nice to get bigger stadium/attendances ASAP.

Oh, and do you really have to start watching friendlies at least 15 minutes before they start??

Attendance is based on popularity. You can increase your popularity getting more fans, which you do best by selling tickets (preferably to those who have not bought one before as you get much more fans)

Currently the ticket selling link is http://rockingsoccer.com/en/soccer/forum/home-en/3?topic=11612&posts=39 but they do a new one every season. You post your link there and a short message (minimum 40 words from memory). You can also click on other peoples messages, buy a ticket off them and hope they reciprocate.

When you have a level 3 stadium you can get a Fan Shop, which will help to increase your popularity much quicker.

Only league games count for the 80% rule.

You can start watching a friendly, or any other match, any time before it finishes and get the same benefits as you would if you watched it from the start.

You can also advertise your game for 2 credits on the same page you buy your own tickets!

I found this useful for those games you only get friends buying tickets, or when you don't have time to search through buying tickets and posting links
Steel City Blades - I will win everything even if it takes me forever to do it!
Flashing Blade - "Got any leeches for this?"

Cheers guys, I'll see if I can find where to buy my own tickets and will put up advert(s) tomorrow.  The link to my friendlies disappears from every link I can find as the game approaches, so not sure what's happening there  :(

Hi. To get attendances for your games, sell tickets, hopefully selling all 10 spaces and preferably to people who haven't bought any from you before. You get more fans attending for those than those who have bought before and I find the best way is buy copying your ticket link (click on the tickets next to your home games which appear 3 days before they're due as that's the earliest you can start selling them, and going to the forum and clicking on the ticket sales link. You have to write 40 words about the match and post the link. I find I sell out each time. Further you can add to that by watching your games live. Attending at home gives you +20% attendance. Can't remember what you get for away games. MIGHT be just half a credit. Of course having your fan shop helps further with that. Friendlies don't count towards the attendance rule, no, nor do U21 matches, just league ones.  And no you don't have to start watching friendlies 15 minutes before they start. You can watch anytime within about 10 minutes of them starting. You just have to be watching live during play. :)

Hope that helps. Good luck.

PS Sorry I wrote that whilst I was 'catching up'. I see others have answered your points already but I started so I'll finish. :P

Ah, now I get it. The green tick (that you click to set your team up) disappears 15 mins before the game starts, so you can no longer change your tactics. 5 minutes before the game starts, the small white circle with a play button (triangle) symbol appears. You can then click on it to watch the game. In my experience, if you click on it before the game starts it will not show the game. So click on it just after the clock ticks over.....maybe that is just on firefox....

I use Firefox too and you're right up to the point where you say if you click on the play button before the game starts it will not show the game and you have to wait for the game to start. No, you can click on it when you like once it shows up. You should see the players on the pitch and a note at the bottom that says the game will start when whoever kicks off or something like that. Once the server clock hits the start time, just refresh the page or nothing happens. Sometimes you have to refresh twice but usually once is sufficient. Try it next time. :)

If you open your team selection for the match in another tab and leave that tab open, you still have it available after that 15 minute mark has passed. So maybe there is a slight bug that would allow a last minute alteration to tactics/team selection.

I'm not sure if it works or not as I have not tried it yet, probably not as the developers seem to be pretty good at covering things, but I might try it in a friendly. Or has anyone else tried this?

Maybe not in the spirit of the game but when you suddenly discover the bot team that was rubbish now has two superstar strikers on loan and has been flying up the table ...

Same here, also using firefox. I thought it was down to security addons like script blockers, but even after disabling those I had to reload the page to be able to watch the live action. I have not tried it in another browser though.

Cheers all - I'll see if that circle appears with 5 mins to go in Google Chrome.  Otherwise I'll have to load it with another browser, which is annoying  :(

It appears in all of the mobile browsers I've used on my phone/tablet, including Chrome, so I'd imagine it will appear in a PC based version of chrome.

If I didn't already have bids in for 3 loan players I'd have made an attempt to borrow that defender.

I wish some of my first team defenders were as good as the ones you can afford to loan out.  :o :(

Another couple of players to loan

http://rockingsoccer.com/en/soccer/info/player-351510

http://rockingsoccer.com/en/soccer/info/player-287962

When I click on those links, they don't take me to your players Stato. They do take me to players on the transfer list though available to loan though. For example, in the case of the first one (payer 351510) it takes me to a player called Jean Marie Campouyre, playing for a club called Napolean's Nightmare in the Belgian top flight, managed by a Paulsmith.

I have notived it was actually the same with the links you posted yesterday.

Myabe it's a regional thing.
